Oh well suppose it was only a matter of time, till i had the three red lights flashing known as the ring of death. And on xbox support now they have extended the warranty to 3 years the problem is there is no Support for this in Thailand.I checked the error code and its the GPU problem so has to goto the experts ....
Have contacted xbox support to see if I can send it to Singa which has support but not had an answer from them yet ,otherwise will have to send back to the UK to a friends so they will pic it up from there and return it there but this could cost me something like 130 quid with UPS or the likes ..
Anyone else had the fiery ring here ,,,not that fiery ring

Why not get an xclamp mod done.. Seems to fix it permanetly for most..

Also no warranty if its been flashed / opened..

Any advice on whats involved in getting xbox games bought in thailand to run on a uk spec xbox? i have a few from last year than my son can't use so any help appreciated

It needs to have its DVD drive flashed.. Tho you will then have no warranty and you can get permanently banned from xbox live..

You can get games from hong kong that are region free online but come on back to xcalmb people ....

nowt to do with xbox ,but do Thai nintendo wii games play on europeon machines or do the machines have to be chipped first?
yes i have no idea about such matters but was thinking about the daughters m/c next time we are back out there.

Everything on the Wii is region coded. Including the stupid points. So you need a PAL game for european etc etc.

This reminds me. Do you want Nicke points for the Wii online? As I dont have one and it wont work on Nickes for the reason above. I bought it for him last summer and its been sitting here ever since!

I would say so, maybe it depends on your prefrence but most of the online games and genral gamers are not kids ,maybe big kids to some people but thats what we all are at the end of the day, would say genral xbox community is 20 yrs plus and most of my mates 34 35 yrs is not like the Atari and and old consoles of yesterday that you grow out of. These console especially the Wii is something for all ages and gets everybody involved very clever selling point .
