Does not say when they expect to go live. Waiting on a license from a government body that doesn't currently exist.

This would have the same issues with actual international bandwidth. But 10 megabits is enough for most people's current needs. That is 5 times faster than the the best ADSL in phuket. Plus being wireless you get away from issues regarding proximity to the phone sub-station.

WiMax has been talked of for at least 3 years.. I remember discussing an idea for a small scale wireless ISP for Patong with SteveM back when he was a mod here.
IIRC the Wimax frequency is banned or already booked in Thailand ??
