Bar for sale - Soi Gonzo

A thai friend of mine is looking to sell her bar in soi Gonzo. She has been running and owning bar in Phuket for over 15 years and now she is looking to retire and go back to Isaan. Whoever buys the bar can also retain all the girls that curently work there ( about 10) She asked me to post it here and its available on a 4 year lease. no chance me going to the darkside sorry.
just that soi eric and soi crocodile play the same music in all the bars so no headaches after a few drinksand the atmossphere seems better.The other soi's always seem to have happer girls in them. sio gonzo girls always seem bored but it never seems busy to me. how long before they realise that all the different music in the bars makes customers want to leave after a few beers.that's way the other soi's are busy all the time. maybe i'm wrong.

Interesting comments Baz, about bars playing different music, and trying to outdo each other in the volume department. When a common DJ was installed in Sea Dragon, we didn't like it at first but have grown used it to. Your right about one thing, that you dont come away with a headache after a while of sitting at the bar. I could only ever sit there for about 10 minutes then had to leave.

I was always under the impression that the punters preferred the different music in the bars, because of the variety and they could request songs.

Interested to hear others take on this.

I also think Soi Eric & Crocodile are better fo music , its more like being in the 1 place same as a nightclub or say a winebar.
I too get a headache from the other soi's including soi seapearl too, they should all follow suit and change to 1 dj box instead ...much better

Well Soi Gonzo now have one DJ also although one or two bars continue to play their own music.

Like I said, Its not my bar, I am just doing someone a favour.

She is looking for 2.1 million for a 4 year lease or 1 million for a 1 year lease. I know the numbers sound stranger but this is what she told me. I believe monthly rent is 12,000THB.

Tiger and Kat's Whiskers both owners are great guys and better golfers than me. (More time to practice, can sleep in) They do have one DJ but some Italian owners bought all this equipment for his bar and will not just let the DJ play. He wants to choose his own music. They all had a meeting and this prick said no so now everyone plays different music, sometimes it's not so loud and I can bear it, sometimes I quickly barfine a girl and drink somewhere else
