Photo - job wanted & Model - need to hire
Hi,
I'll be in Phuket for the first 2 weeks of may (on vacation). I do wedding photo, products photo, and a little fashion.
I am looking for small size job (preferably on daytime), I can do it free...or for some beers (preferably on nighttime ...555). I have to load my days while waiting for the nights
I would need also to hire models for daytime small fashion session all around Phuket island.
Could you you give me some references ?
What would be the rates ? for the models and the make-up guy/girl.
Thanks.

Thanks for the instant reply aussie45,
Katoey .. yes, would ok. It's just photo sessions ... could be fun in bikini on the beach.
I would also ask to NOT jumb on me ... 555
For beauty model level ... no need to be on a very hi level or very tall, but then she may have to compensate with her enjoying personnality ... the make-up will do it's job, bringing her most beautiful side

Thanks, but ... I've thinking more as for free ... or for beers - like exchange services, Do I really need a permit ? If I have to get one temporary permit, than forget the beers. I'll do a little just for free.
My primary journey is vacation, so I do prefer to have access to the deep Phuket and had a little great beer time with some expats and fill some of my daytime than making some small/minor mini-cash (I think it did not worth the effort through the procedure and I don't either to loose my time there on finding some hypothetic contract).
For the info, I do have a European passeport as well as a Canadian passeport. What is the procedure for the temporary permit ?
Thanks for your input - very appreciated

If caught (and thats the big one) immigration detention cells (with all the burmese 200 guys in a single room) for a couple of days while they deport and blacklist you.
Thats not to say 100's of people dont work without WP's.. I seem to have suddenly become the WP boogyman in the last weeks or twos postings... Just trying to point out the issues with turning up and doing stuff here under the assumption that all is cool.

So just hiring some models, fishing, riding horses, scuba diving, and beach lazing ... on daytimes will be just fine .
Thanks for the inputs.

Media related visa is the normal way, however you will need an accredited publication for that

I knew someone who spent many many months to get a media visa and WP as a freelancer... It really was an amazing amount of work and persistence.
Just curious if you have followed through with that how the WP part happened ?? The visa part is fairly easy (a non B would suffice) but the WP is the block.

... and a invitation letter. Right ?
Ah I didn't though on this one ... but
1) Ok, now if I do it very small. And the pics are for my porfolio. I won't sell any photographs or do any service or do any volonteers stuff.
Do I need something more than a Tourist visa ? Any "Non-immigrant visa" would be overkill and takes too much effort.
2) If the pictures are for my own book (not any organisation) ? Tourist visa ok ?
Bah, were are those 'student years' and 'pack-jacker years' ???
Thanks Erik

I am sure that TFP or TFCD would be fine. Just don't make it look too professional. If you turn up to the beach with tripods, lighting, MUA, etc., you could be asking for trouble, but just taking some pictures on the beach of some friends - it wood be hard to say that that is working.

It can be done, however indeed it depends on how you set up our set, take out a reflector and you will soon be considered working (even if it is to get tea money of you)
Again the official way and the TIT way can be different. If you just want to make some pics without a big setup easy enough. Just make sure the lady in question claims to be you new gf
