€4 to one country (US & Canada count as one????) or €9 to 34 including Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

When I got here it was something like 30 baht/minute. So now after about 8-10 minutes/month of talking on the skype plan you break even.

Only problem is Skype out quality seems to be sucking more and more. At least on my two interweb connections.

But for those with an iPhone (iGay in Hobbsy speak) and fring – Make free mobile calls, IM with Skype, MSN Messenger, ICQ, Google Talk™, SIP & Twitter, AIM® & Yahoo!™ you are doing international calls for basically free.

I use skype for long distance but my old man being in africa makes that sucky.. So its just the odd call to UK and occasionals to my bankers. My last 20 EUR has lasted months !!

And yes the iSheep have been doing good with a edge data package.

You can do voice on a wi-fi connection but it is sucky on EDGE. The new 3G version will be out soon and that will solve that problem. Seems like thai carriers are serious about rolling out 3G now.

Now if the new iphone had wi-max support as well then we would totally be rocking.

JFYI - Try the 'skype test call' feature before using. Good indicator of the service at the time.
