$150000 USD, what to do with it?

Does anyone know a good place to put an amount of money like this? Were i could make some monthly income off of?

I wonder if there is any sucessful bars or businesses that i could buy out a share of or if there is a partner that wants a buy-out. I dont think thair is much i can do to turn a decent income off of but if sombody has any ideas then i would like to hear them.

The only way i would get into the bars is if i could buy out a parter in a sucsessfull bar. i know there is a group of brits that own a few bars in pattaya. I think they own the Hot Tuna franchise.

I basically want to make money doing nothing or as little as possible. Maybe renting out a condo or some shite.

I was more thinking along the line of some bank investment idea

All I can say is 'you reap what you sew'.....I think almost everyone would like to put their money out there and do little or nothing for a nice return. Any investment over here is not a 'safe' investment. Very easy to blow that amount of cash in a short time. I think it's much more difficult to make money here than in the Western World.

Best way to become a Thai millionaire- start off as a Thai billionaire! No such thing as an easy buck- if there were we'd all be rich. With the competition amongst bars and restaurants out here no way is it a wise investment.

Property is a good bet.

Try and locate an upcoming suburb which will let you buy in for cheap, you rent it out. In 5 years your going to be singing a different tune.

2-3 Mid range condo's looks like a better deal than one flash upmarket one.

Remember what they say about having all yours eggs in the same basket

If all this is too much of a hassle, just give me the money, I will try and double it for you :p :p :p

You're young. Get out of that bum fcuk town you live in and move to Vancouver. Open a deli or a pizza shop and build a business. If it's successful hire some good workers to help run it. Maybe a #2 shop, etc. Sell it for a nice nest egg when you are ready to move on.

Cool Small amount

Tha is a fairly small amount of money (75K Sterling roughly) and even in a high interest bank account you could not live off it.

Entering the bar trade out here would demolish that amount in next to no time.

...

If you are asking for someone who has actually faced this, er, problem, let me offer:

(1) Put it in a brokerage account of your choosing. I chose Wells Fargo, told them the risk I was willing to accept, and watched the numbers online. Be forewarned that the vig is not trivial but once it is recovered all is good. And now is the time to buy... I read... since we are at the bottom of the current correction.

(2) Keep your eyes open for opportunities. I chose oil as detailed elsewhere on the board. Before giving anyone any money have an attorney set things up. You might even want to form an LLC for "investments."

(3) Whatever you do, forget about the money. In ten years it will have grown. If you were to, for instance, buy a bunch of toys with it now these will all have been reduced to rubble by that time. This is the hardest part.

My .75 baht.

Give it to me. I`ll spend it on beer and women, and waste the rest.

Get shares in Starbucks and General Electric. Price has come down a lot in the last year and now good value. Both are solid investments IMH0.

I wouldnt ask it if its hypothetical. Its a middle of the road amount. Not enough to make easy money but too much to pis$ into the wind. Thats why im asking.

Send a message via Skype™ to Denver
I'd use it to hire Brat Pitt, Julia Roberts, George Clooney etc and nine others probably.............to go to Holland and....................... etc etc

Why did they use film stars to rob a bank? Tch!
