You might want to check your settings or leave a window open a finger width crack. I find having just the tiniest bit of fresh air makes a big difference and doesn't work the a/c much harder. The air con is trying to rip out the humidity. It is incredibly wasteful to introduce a humidifier back into the mix. A bit of fresh air is much better if possible.

Another side benefit of having a Sharp Air Filter is I never wake up with a dry mouth. I think it is due to the way it ionizes the air by splitting air borne water molecules. So you are not as dry and you are breathing very clean air.

I hope you don't have any LBs around!!

I don't like using air con and prefer sleeping with open windows which have good mossie screens fitted.

Well at least it would'nt be dry mouth

Na no LB's

Would try the window open a tad idea, but its one big sliding window and then outside a big palm tree plantation , with a lot of self erected corrugated shed dwellers on the other side prefer to wake up with a dry throat rather than a slit one ...maybe a bit dramatic but hey shooting and stabbing for 300bht again in Rawai maybe not so dramatic after all .

And they did'nt have them in Jungcelon ?? keep looking

Try putting a glass of water next to the bed. I do this and it helps.

And stupid me thought my dry mouth was because of heavy drinking

Why not try not putting the aircon on??? get a ceiling fan in place and you do not need aircon, solution to dry throat, runny nose crap. I never have aircon on ever, body very quickly adjust and its no big test or ordeal, cos its happening whilst you are asleep!!!!

LP I'm also from the UK. When I used to holiday here I had the aircon on full blast the moment I walked into my hotel room and ended up with sore throats, colds. My evenings company would sneak out of bed and turn it off, I'd wake up sweating like a good'un and put it back on, only to find a few hours later I'd be waking sweating like a good'un, she'd turned it off again.

Moved here and decided not to bother with the aircon just use the ceiling fan, never been a problem, in fact nowadays I go under the duvet aswell.

Not being tough or clever, your body very quickly adjusts to the tempreture, especially this time of year. It was never a test of endurance or anything.

Only thing to add, is I don't go to bed ever before 12 and usually 1 or 2am, so its cooler then, maybe you go to bed earlier?

We never open windows, too many bugs and mozzies find their way in. I used to always have the window open but awoke one night with a bug on my face almost bigger than my face!!!!! and for those of you that know me and my long ol' face, that was some big mother of a bug!!!!!

I dislike AC with a passion.. The missus puts it on more then me (only in bedroom and I tend to turn it off as soon as the room has cooled).. I wake up if the damn thing gets left on and have the night chills.

I do like fans tho, all the time having a flow of air makes me think mossies are not eating me.. Dont relax well without one.

To be able to leave the door open slightly and retain some security........ go buy yourself a broom handle......... open your door to desired amount (say 20mm)....... measure and cut broom handle to fit into the track between the back of the door and the frame.
This way the door can be closed but not opened!!!!
Just hope you have bug screens!!!!!
