OK I know its not Thailand, but has anyone been to West Papua?
If so what's it like?
My boss seems to think I might like to go there for 4 months or so.
Any info gratefully received - thanks in advance

Isnt that called Timor?? Where theres lots of civil unrest, or has that now subsided?? I know the Aussie army is still in there watching over things.

Western Papua is Irian Jaya - Indonesia - very remote Jayapura on North coast is main town - not much in way of action but people very friendly.
