All insurances in Sweden give 30 day holiday travel insurance when travel around, you can also sign for longer stays and pay additional fees.

Many expats living here use Bupa Bluecross for health insurance. I can not say I like international health insurance companies, lot of exceptions and list of things that is not allowed, e.g. dangerous sports. Insurances from Swedish comapnies is better, but I ended up with Bupa now anyway.

Alot of the travel insurances you buy, stop covering you once you start working in another country. Make sure your covered, as good hospital treatment is not cheap.

Yeah both me and my girl never bothered, then she was sick and I dropped 650k baht on medical over a short period.. For some reason I must be dumb as I still have not taken out medical on myself (really gotta as I juts bought a fireblade too) !!

Bupa Thailand seems really cheap for emergency cover.

Aussie cover

I just got 12 days cover for my trip to LOS for just over 90$ AUD. Covers Unlimited medical, hire car excess, hijacking, lost luggage, trip cancellation costs etc. Figured it was worth it for at least my 1st trip there

Yes

I always travel with travel insurance which naturally covers any health issues as well as many others. Better to be safe than sorry i suppose.

Any australians travelling regularly might want to check out
http://www.1cover.com.au/

For about $300 you get 12 months cover unlimited trip coverage, international or domestic, for trips up to 90 days in length. Very good value but really only for worth it for regular travellers. Not bad when you consider one trip of 12 days can cost $90+.

No i dont work for them, its just a good deal i used myself.

In Germany you can get a good and reliable travel insurance from the german automobilclub ADAC. It runs year round but has a limitation on the days you are allowed to stay away from your homecountry . But it covers nearly all risks and even your hole family and costs yust about 40 Euro/year = aprox.2000 bath. They even fly you back when something goes wrong. Had to use it once. They took so much costs I can ensure myself for the rest of my life .
By the way: 7weeks and 2 days. Yipeeeee.
