Liquorice ... must have liquorice - and chives

Do you know of any shops in Patong that sell liquorice? I don't care if it is sweet or salt, I just need a fix. Phuket Town will do too - I am willing to go a long way for a fix.

Also I would like to get fresh chives for my eggs. I have tried Carrefour and Banzhaan, but either I am blind or I will need to find chives somewhere else.

I haven't seen chives anywhere but you can buy the liquorce from me. I've sent you a PM with my location I'll be in stock again on Wednesday.

I know where to find your shop - actually, I was in there yesterday in hope of getting a fix. I will come back Wednesday - if I survive that long.

Only places I have found --- except for FM --- is a minimart up in Bang Tao. There is also a Tailor (?!!) here in Kamala who sells the Swedish stuff during the high season.

I've tried growing (Legal!)herbs on the windowsill but they keep dying on me. gotta change my soil mix I reckon. Have a wander round the markets to see if you can find an alternative to chives. Supercheap has a huge selection of stuff that I haven't got a clue what to do with. Nibble your way around.

I did bring some packs with PP Gajol. I had actually bought a lot as they were on sale in Netto, and I knew that I couldn't get them here. But my weight limit only allowed me to bring 5 packs.

I have 67 packs waiting for me at home

Only two Thai girls in there, and somehow I figured you were not one of them. Was that a mistake?

I don't drink wine, and I need a more precise definition of "Italian food". It's like food from everywhere else. Some of it I like, some of it I don't like. I don't like pizza, and I don't like fish. My worst dining experience ever was in Italy. A 5 course meal and all of them was fish - even the dessert, AAARGH!

Or use Turkish Airlines - they allow 30 Kg, while SAS only allow 20 Kg.

Or maybe I will not bring my computer monitor [1]. I can buy a monitor here, and then use the spared weight for liquorice and other important stuff - like chocolate.

[1] Or maybe some nice expat BM will store the monitor and my pc speakers for me from April to September? He will of course be welcome to use both while I am not here.

Never seen chives Kim.
The next best would be ton hom - spring onions - which are readily available in Carrefour and Banzaan markets.
You could just use the young tops and use the rest for stirfrys.

At first I actually thought that I had found chives - but it turned out to be the top of spring onions. And I was wondering, how different the taste would be. I will give it a try next time, thanks guys.

Don't worry, as promised earlier, I will come and see the apartments before I go home. But I am not yet sure, if I will need a house or an apartment next time.

Besides, where I am staying now I have a swimming pool, and I must admit that that is very nice to have. So I might also want a pool the next time.

For the rate your paying, its one of the best deals around.. Pool, wifi, widescreen LCD TV, kitchen, nicely furnished, etc for a hair over 800 baht a night. A steal..

Heh, that could be a solution. But I can only buy at store prices, so that would make it expensive for you/your customers. But then again, in need of a fix, one will pay almost anything (oh, forget I said that until after Wednesday).

It still would be cheaper than buying it in Thailand! At the moment I am selling bags of godis 210g for 190baht.
