I think they are great places there for the money.. You have the resturant / bar and pool / jacuzzi (shame the net is down now) and really its easy to maintain and great for a single guy or couple... Plus now with S1mon, Marc, Gee, Gier, Etc all being there it makes a good bunch of guys in the same area..

Careful guys... if Osama is reading this, one medium-sized WMD could take out half the board's membership...

Fingers crossed I`ll be over for 3 months, nov, dec and jan so I`m looking for some accomodation -
my minimum needs are
a bed, bathroom, air con, a fridge, and no farther away from the bangla than nan nai (nan nai is ok though, I quite like it).
money is a factor for me I`m afraid.
any recommendations?

Green house is good. Have a "kitchen" out on the balcony if you want to make food home.. http://www.phuketdir.com/greenhouse/

Or PM Nicke for details on Jez guesthouse on the same streetīas Green House.

Both places are located behind the firestation....

If you are interested in these apartments at wet willies i have the mail address at home and can bring it tomorrow, i think there are a few empty at the moment, you could always mail him and ask, they fit your requirements well and the bar is right below, maybe even too handy.
price is around 13K per month, is this within your budget?

Just looked at their website and the pricing makes no sense, daily low season 500 high season 700 so 40%ish increase monthly low season 7000 high season 18000 so 150%ish increase, do they really get that much more daily/week trade in high season to justify the disproportinate increase to discourage monthly rental?

In reply to my own message, been seaching this site and it seems that this place is just off the na nai (?) and that it has bgs and a few bms living there -and freeish wireless adsl which all sounds good. and the american owner is a cool guy. is this right? how about the noise?

on another subject, i like to play football (association) and was thinking that a friendly game, perhaps in the late afternoon on the beach would be just the thing to work up a well deserved thirst. maybe make it a regular weekly thing if theres enough interest.

The apartments around Wet Willys are good, but the owner told me that not more than 1 apartment (the one I have taken) was for rent for long terms..............I think that meens that the other ones that are avabiable at the moment probably are booked for the high season..........not shure, but it make sense............I will ask the owner when I se him.
Btw. if my hangover is not to bad tomrrow, I will start to move my stuff there.

Simon, I move back in my old apartment, the one that Graham have had for a few months. I just have to clean everything twice since he is a dirty Scottish ****, and probably have been spending his time wanking himself off all over the place

I dont worry about my new cutie, you would probably look at her and think::::: Who is the crazy bastard picking a 16 year old She is actually 28.....

Drunk again, but I took my car and the lady safe back home..

As with almost every place you can make a deal with them. I stayed there and payed 5500bath/low season.
But i agree.. Make no sence at all.. But a nice place, and owner Lek is very nice.
But compered to an apartment at Wet Willys i rather take that one. Restaurant and pool downstairs is pretty handy...

At Willys it is serviced apartments. Not guesthouse. As far as i know it is 13000/month all year around. But probably mostly longtime rents, 1 year contracts ...
But The guys living there could tell more...

Yeah long term its an all year price..

and the above about long term stayers v nightly low and high makes perfect sense..

They charge 500 / 700 a night (15 / 21k per month) in high season when they have 80%+ occupancy and charge a lower monthly rate in comparison during low season when they have 30 - 40% hotel style occupancy so as to safeguard thier costs and turnover.. This get long staying 'safe' money in there bank..

Nearly everywhere that does long stay does this kind of deal..
