Used to be without doubt in my mind The 2 Balck sheep.. Used to do a great spread with mushrooms cooked down to a sucey type affair.. Thier food quality has sunk over time and prices have gone up..

Fiddys is probably my current champ.. Great spread (and not just the 'English' lots of good lighter alternatives.. 3 poached eggs on toast etc)..

Honourable mentions can go to Offshore Bar (cheap quite good).. Wet willies.. Great spread probably 2nd best and the selection system is great and you can customize and add etc.. Yorkshires not bad but not up to the others..

For me anywhere that serves instant coffee (thats not coffee !!) gets a big minus..

Down Soi Patong Resort off of bangla.. (coming from beach approx 1/2 way up on right)..

Good if plain brit style grub.. Not enough selection on the menu if your a regular but never had a bad meal.. The Fish and chips was the best in town..

Tried Yorkshire Inn earlier today - not bad by any means but nothing to shout about either.

Saw Fiddy's across the road but it didn't 'look' a brekky place for some reason.

Would anyone go to Patong to eat english food?
Can almost understand the ones who been away for a long time but I always like to think you all fled the country to get a decent meal

My sis lived in Bracknell for 10+ years, thank god indian and chinese was available or I'd starve to death

I you can no doubt guess from my name, I also enjoy Faulty Towers hospitality. I agree the food is really good, they do a really great all day breakfast and if your really hungery go for the "Cowboys Breakfast" , it fills the plate.

Plus, they have Guiness and Kilkenny on draught at reasonable prices.

P.S Not an advertisment, but it is owned by a couple of my mates.

It's just that I haven't found anything in the Thai menu that can replace a full-English breakfast (One of our better inventions) Like you Junkhouse, while in Rome, do as the Romans do. I don't come to LOS to sit and watch British or Norwegian Television programmes, drink British or Norwegian beer or #### British or Norwegian women. It's the same here Junkhouse, the Halloumi cheese with unidentified goo on a pitta bread just dosen't cut it! and yes................I like to complain and have the occasional wank!

But I do like a good fry up now and again. After all my physical training in the morning, i.e. a run from Patong to Phuket town and back, swim a couple of laps of the Island in my thong and a 40km-ish bike ride, I like to tuck into Fried eggs, bacon, Pork sausage/s, Black pudding, fried bread, mushrooms, baked beans maybe a side order of body-building chips. Not too fussy about grilled tomatoes, bit healthy that!! Followed by some toast (with low-fat spread...yeah right, inch thick butter) and marmalade swilled down with a gallon of freshly brewed coffee with sugar and fresh full fat milk with a cigarette or seven. I've made myself hungry again!

My friends well know I eat farang food too while in Patong....like Subways or Pizza Company to mention a couple
That said I do eat Thai food as well and enjoy it, I have however seen and known people that only eat farang food in LOS, kinda sad but true, some even complain about food and service too, which in my mind constitutes a wanker. If this was a concern they should drag their butts on holiday elsewhere, like aya napa, ibiza or a place like that..

Breakfast in los now thats an experience i must try!

I cant remember in my 18 visits ever having a breakfast anywhere in los except for the nanas breakfast buffet and i only make the effort there because its included in the room price! (well i am scottish) i am usually at the swimming pool about 9 am and basically just drink coffee or ovaltine until my system recovers from the previous nights endeavours. and then i like to go for something to eat about 1pm. usually some pasta or just some khao thom gai and then go for my big dinner about 7.30 pm i dont eat so much which is amazing because i am the same fine specimen of a man as dizbuster so it must be something to do with my drinking habits 55555555
anyway if any of these places mentioned is within 5 minutes walk of the valhalla hotel i will strive to have a breakfast every morning because being diabetic i really should have something to eat in the morning

OK you got me.. reasonably priced Guiness.. where is this mythical place ???

I was shocked to discover that macro had not only jacked the cans up to 195 per can (in a cash and carry !!) but that they would be getting no more.. I immediately bought all they had left of course..

Also whats 'reasonable' ??

Anyone know any other source for Guiness tinnies..

Faulty Towers is in Soi Sunset, just before ExPat hotel and Valhalla, last time I was in draught Kilkenny was 180 Baht, and Guiness was about the same. At first, suppliers said that the bar was too small and would not sell enough. They were soon proved wrong, first night we finished a keg in under four hours. Also, when Molly's and Scruffy's were closed due to Tsunami, suppliers were looking for other outlets and my mate got a deal with them.
Reason prices are cheap is low overheads, it's a small bar , no BGs , run by a couple of ex-army guys as a hobby.

Hi Talbot,
You must walk past Fawlty's everyday when staying at Valhalla, it opens at 11 o'clock , so you could have your swim, coffee and THEN go for breakfast.
