There would be l suggest a healthy percentage of BM's maybe one day hoping to move to LOS on a full time basis.

My question is to the current ex pats and anybody else in the know.......are there any ex pats in LOS that are aged in their 70's.....or even 80's ?......or do you find once their health starts to become a bit dodgy, they are off home to the mother country ?

i actually have a very goo friend that is 73 and ive been begging him to visit me in LOS. he doesnt want tot do the flight, but i think hed be in his element. id be afraid because he could drink any one of us under the table and still go for another 24hrs. so im afraid hed be one of those old timers getting drunk all day

Thinking a bit more about it.....l guess the oldest Ex Pat l have met would be Dave the Pieman....who l would guess might be in his early 60's ????

Opposite my old house (now Nickes) was a nice oldish german.. Definately in his 60's (but a fit old bugger)..

I get the feeling there are plenty here just you are not going to see them out on Bangla too often

Maybe there is more of an older set at Pattaya.......not sure as l have never been.

I can just picture a Nursing Home full of Ex Pats with little Thai Nurses in skimpy little uniforms.......perfect for a Benny hill sketch.

i saw a guy last month on the plane to bkk. he couldnt be a day younger than 80. he was with a tg about 35-40. seemed happy as shit

HEY MAV..I HAVE TWO MATES THAT ARE IN THEIR 60s .........[MICHEAL AND JAMES] THE TWO OF THEM ARE MARRIED TO THAI GIRLS.......BUT THEY CRUISE THE SOIS EVEY MONDAY AND THURSDAY NITES FOT ST....GREAT GUYS.......

I know it's a bit of a sad question! (no change there then!) but sort of in the meaning of the thread. BUT say I was to move to the LOS, live a long and fruitful life and then popped my clogs (Happens to us all etc) and like a prat I hadn't made arrangements to either be buried/burnt/pushed out to sea etc out there or have my body repatriated (If they can get the lid down on the box) what happens?

Can I arrange for a mate to put me in hole in the garden to fertilise the petunias?

Your embassy will attempt to contact your next of kin and detremine your requirement through them

The embassy will have to be reimbursed or paid in advance for whatever service they arrange on your behalf

If it was left to the thai authorities assuming no next of kin etc, I suspect you would cremated

Your embassy will assist in getting a body back home but wont pay for it.. Recent experiences have shown it to be 140k baht to get back to the UK..

Of course if you feel the desire for local cremation etc and thats known all of thats possible.. I guess its actually something I should tell my brother and folks.. Really to me it makes no difference and burnt is the way I would like, burnt with a sea scattering (but they dont keep the ashes here.. They keep bones !!)

So true "Mav" .. ivé met a coupel of old dude´s in Jomtien (Pattaya) several years now and they should be around there 60´s - 70´s .. i even met an old German Lady but she talks to much about her damned cat so no one wants to drink with her in the afternoon

On my last trip i meet a Swedish guy that was 67 years and his wife (i belive 35->40 years) and theirs 2 children on Khon Kaen airport and start chat with them , he have go to LOS for the latest 8 years and have house both outside Khon Kaen and Pattaya and he look really healthy to me and now a days he only go home to Sweden on holiday for 2-3 weeks/year ....there was no chance that he should move back again !!!!!

look at this situation:
my friend,Callahan, is 73yrsold. he has a little nest egg, gets 1500usd/mo in social sec. and could seel his house for 500,000usd. say his wife passed. why wouldnt he want to go to LOS. i could see him hooking up with a 35yr old thai girl, buying viagra, drinking chang. the only downside, like i said before, is if an old timer tends to drink alot, he may end up getting drunk all the time

Hugh Hefner even said that viagra is the best thing that has happened to him in the last 10 years so intend to follow his words of wisdom when I get older.

If I am still single by that time you better believe that I would love to be in LOS with an 18 year old seeing eye BG. And if I am married but my (hopefully young) wife does not want to have fun anymore I guess I will have to try to do a "tintin". I would rather be there than with Paul's friend. My grandmother, who lived until she was 96, said the worst thing was still being alive while all of her friends were dying around her.

Any bar that I can find her in that has a wheel chair ramp and an electrical hookup for the battery in my wheelchair. By that age I will forget their names instantly so I will call them all smile. They all have to be shaven though as I do not want to die by swallowing a hairball and razor stubble would pull on the skin of my 4 (by that time)chins.

Have to invent a wheelchair that has a keg cooler on the back for my travel time between my rest home and bangla road.

ya know whats funny. i am one of those guys that is a little uncomfortable with age gaps. but once i get to these ages, i could give a shit less!
imagine a 73yr old guy, that has no desire to go out prowling for girls, finding a 35yr old bg, who feels shes washed up. do you know how much she would take care of him!

ive seen so many guys in wheelchairs. we actually have a bm, i foget his screen name. but i was driving down rat-u-thit and i saw this guy getting wheeled down the road by a cute bg, and i thought, there isnt anything better than that. well except to not have to use the wheelchair

Denver, what kind of stroke? I would let my BG stroke me anytime she wanted to.

OOOOOps new idea for wheelchair. Must have instant pop up privacy curtain for when BG wants to stroke me with her lips or hand. Thanks for spurring my imagination, again. Don't want you peeping tom's to get an eyeful.
