Smile Looking for a room to rent in Patong

Hey everyone I am new to the board and moving to Patong November 15th. I am 27 years old and just got a job at a resort in Patong. I am from San Diego, Ca. super easy going, clean, and very sociable. I am looking to see if anyone has a room to rent in the Patong area. I will be living in Phuket for 1-2 years. If you need a roommate, have an extra room, or know someone email me. I am looking to spend under 10,000 baht. Thanks to every one in advance.

Be patient Weldon, if anyone can help you here they will.
Have you used the "search" function here to see if it throws anything useful up?
Good luck

If it's a house share you are after, only the expats will be able to assist. As you have not had an answer, I guess that yes - you will have to get somewhere yourself. That's what we all do when we go there - it is cheap and plenty of choice. Good luck in your search - follow Dawsey's links.

Thank you guys for the replies and all the info. I was just seeing if anyone have a extra room; I just really don't like living by myself. Money is not so much of an issue. Thank's again for all the links.

Get a room by yourself, its a pretty safe bet that you wont be alone in your room for too long.

I already have a one year visa from the Thai Government. I am coming on as a Marketing Program Director for a developer. The resort is just one of many projects they have. The resort is where my office will be and “officially” I will be working for them, but I will be working on other projects as well.

Yeah I know, that's about all anyone needs to know. I am NOT doing anything illegal though, so it really does not matter. Like I said before it's a unique situation. I am very lucky, I think.

A one year visa is a very different thing to having a work permit and working legally.. I have a one year visa.. I couldnt be working..

Not trying to rag on you.. Just a heads up.. Unless your earning 60k per month (and paying the taxes on it) you wont be making min wage for the work permit.. Plus more than the min wage is the hassel for the company, 4 thai staff per work permit, paid up captial, etc.. The vast majority I would say operate under the radar.

I am guessing Laguna region ?? Anyway good luck..

ok good luck... You often see people that have job offers etc (including high paying ones or high paying promises anyway) often in the sales fields that dont get any WP offered.. In those positions its the employee who gets the problems..
