Just another side note as comparison...
The shops located opposite Shark Club building and on the road between rat-u-thit and Nanai (were Jungceylon is being built now) were also rented out for 15,000 baht/month. We had gym, sauna, internet cafe, restaurants, clothes, beuaty saloon among other things there.
I cant understand how people are going to make money with rent at 65,000 baht + keymoney. It is really crazy and also no good for Patong, it will continue make prices go up and at the end it is the tourists who has to pay and when Patong is heavily overpriced they will chose another destination.
Same for the bars, the prices has gone up every year and it is already too expensive so lot of people lose money, even before the tsunami.
