Guys,
I have to get this off my chest....I've been going to Thailand for the last 3 years. Had my fun as we do , consider myself to be well informed from this forum and experiences....and read the stickman stories. How can guys be so gullible ? well here is my 'shortened' story for all to see :- Over the last 3 months I have been to Thailand twice. The first time was in August and started as a dedicated golfing holliday in Hua Hin for 1 week and then some serious R&R in Patong for a further 2 weeks... ...but I never got to leave Hua Hin. The 3rd LBFM I snagged (I met by accident) turned out to be the most fantastic girl I have ever spent time (aka money) with, farang or thai. She was so kind, fun and looked after me so well  There is a lot of detail that i'll skip. I could write a stickman letter here.... Just here me say that I 'fell in Love' like a stupid teenager  Returned to my expat posting thinking about cashing up and fleeing to Thailand with the cash , duh.....I overcame the urge, I just booked a return 'vacation' to Thailand asapI went back to Thailand in October for another 3 weeks. I WANTED TO GET HER OUT OF MY SYSTEM. Prove that she was just anothre money grabbing ho....Well, this time together turned out to be the most magical 'honeymoon' that you could ever imagine. We stayed in Hua Hin for a week until the rain flooded the town and I said 'lets go to Patong', booked the Patong Villa (sweet suite) and the overnight VIP24 coach and off we went. Then after 4 days in Patong ( she did not like the 'in-your-face BG scene') tirak said 'will you come and see house me and meet mamma in Loei'.... I was taken aback. This was getting serious from her side. I said yes as long as we could be 'together'  . She called mamma, all was agreed, so I booked phuket-bangkok and bangkok-loei. 20 hrs on a VIP coach. Great.I stayed with the family for a week and paid for everything. But the money was not the issue. I had a great time. She made it clear to all that I was her 'husband'. I was well chuffed. Family took me all over the place (11 ppl in truck !!!) , showing me farm land for sale, houses for sale etc etc, even went to udon thani to see more... but I declined. What I did discuss with her was that I could not let her go back to Hua Hin. I was now so serious about her and she said she was serious about me. So , I wanted her to stay in Loei and I would pay... (what, hello, wake up, was I really saying this !!! Stickman, help) as long as she re-started the 'beauty salon' she had before to keep her busy. She agreed..... so I bought her a Suzuki 110cc bike for transport ! Oh sh1t. On the 6th November, she left me at the Don Muang airport to go to HH to get her stuff......I returned to work . Today she told me she let her room go , bought 3 suitcases and packed her belongings and was on the 7pm bus to BKK and on her way home......... I'm so happy now... but for how long ? Time will tell. Good luck for you. There are lot of "bad" stories and experiences but lot of people have happy stories aswell, and I think you did the right thing.
Althought I thought your story was one of the "not happy" ones when I first started reading it. Best wishes!

It's five star and I rented a suite with jacuzzi for 7,000 baht a night. I thought I might as well try it once as I would never be able to afford it here.

It's a nice story(so far), but the part that I find really strange is that right off, first time they meet you they are dragging you all over Isaan, trying to get you to buy farm land and houses, which you can't even really own, even when you buy them!!  I'm afraid I would be well put off by that!!

Thanks for the support. Yes I hope we can make it work. I did pass by MTB whilst in Patong for a drink , but the always nice Noy told me you were on vacation StiofanDerry I hope you can see that your GF is a bit unstable. Emotional blackmail and 'suicide' attempts are pretty common tactics. Personally I would not stay with someone who acted like that. I'm after happiness....... I am assuming you've read stickman and been on this forum long enough to get some clue as to how devious these girls are ? Be careful mate. To be 'the only farang in the village' is an experience.....There are hills and scenic valleys everywhere. The farmers are so adept at growing corn and lychee etc on these hills. The Meekong river separating Laos from Thailand is spectacular too. There is also a nice wine producing vineyard there .Take a trip next time via VIP bus. I have some pics that i'll look through and post. Jaybee It was my fault, I asked to see an estate agents in Leoi main town to find out how much land is....(as i've done in Hua Hin area and Phuket area) but mamma and family arranged personal visits to places they knew were for sale whilst doing the scenic days out. Udon Thani looks a better option than Loei. Flat area and a good airport. Tirak is keen to settle down asap but I told her we have to wait minimum 9 to 12 months before I can consider marriage etc etc due to my current circumstances. Of course I will return to Thailand on vacation as often as possible. Thats why I posted this thread. I want to post it here like a personal 'blog' I know i've turned into a love sick puppy at the moment. I cannot talk to anyone here or family as nobody will understand what a 43 year old expat accountant is doing considering getting married to a 25 year old prostitute ! I never thought it would happen to me. I only usually go ST. I blame it on IJ, he convinced me to try LT. So I have promised to support her on a monthly basis an amount we agreed together that she 'should' be able to live off ok.
