HI fellasa hope you can help me out here
iam off in January to the place we call L O S
and a friend of mine is buying man van and small business from me
trouble is he's only got his credit cards and was going to send me the money
once iam out there .can He send money from his cards via money gram to
Thailand if not is there another way
I no western union only allow you £1000 every 90 days

any ideas ?

banks and postoffices do it, but i don,t know if they have limits

best is a bank transfer.. Or use a account that allows deposit in a uk bank and cheap or free withdrawl here..

personally I wouldnt leave until paid in full.. too easy to argue once your not there

He can pay it directly onto one of your Credit Cards

As you are UK based - Bangkok Bank has a branch in the City (St Mary Axe) - you can tell him pay the money directly into your account there (assuming you open an BKK Bank a/c in Thailand) - you are not allowed to open an account in London though (at least they would not allow this 10 years ago).

Make sure you get the right account. I think it's FLEXACCOUNT DEBIT ACCOUNT. I've just got my card through the post, so now I have 2 accounts with them.

All sorted , basically he hasn't got 5 grand in cash to give me so he's doing
from his master card, Thomas cook let you do £5000 in 1
go from your credit card
will get him to do it before I go to a mate who's in Bangkok.,
save me taking another 5 grand through customs,
then i will open anaccount in bangkok ,

cheers for the advice anyway .
