But I know for years, she lived with farang, who was a saxophone player. I think she made more money as a waitress than he did as a musician. She was university-educated and never worked the bars. Jus a very sweet lady, and not looking for a guy with money, 'cause if she was, then I think she could have found one here in rich-farang land where I live. Really, though, when you think about it, how many farang girls are not interested in how much money a guy has? You know that if you are driving a Porsche, wearing a rolex, wearing the lastest designer clothes and haircut, and hanging out at the hippest, priciest spots, and throwing money around like it doesn't matter, then you are going to be pulling the hottest girls!!

It is always interesting to read posts with strong opinions and then discover that there might be another side to actions we see or witness. I had a good chat with Diz on my last tour regarding his thread and how he had added two and two together and made five. I read this thread whilst in patong and had a little chat with AM regarding the circumstances, then decided with the aid of Denvers Angels and my deducerisation skills a little investigating was in order.
Well, girl one shared an apartment with her friend who was away looking after her sick dad in issan, yes her dad was actually sick, she was actually looking after him for a month and wasn't asking any sponsor for assistance!! She had telephoned girl one and asked if it was okay for a friend of hers to share the apartment whilst she was away. That very afternoon girl two arrived accompanied by two other girls (girl three and 4 in AM's story) All 3 new girls claimed to be virgins and having never gone with any falang. Girl one was very put out with this as she now had to share a one bed apartment with three other girls who took over the place and wasn't very friendly in the process especially girl two, who looked down on girl one as she was not going to become a freelancer but find work in a hotel. Girl one took them out that night and finally bumped into AM and was very happy to try to link up with AM (cos as we all agree he is a very nice guy) and because she had stayed with him previously. Once in Safari she was doing her bit to show girls three and four around the club and sort of showing them the ropes, girl two didn't want to come because she was only there to find legit work and not sleep with men, so girl one left her in the safe hands of AM. Only to find that on her return she was all over him and attempting in her eyes to steal her man away. With the background of dislike in the living accomodation situation and the sneering remarks at her regarding freelancing she flipped and decided to give girl two a good what for. This fuelled with alcohol got out of hand and left AM in the difficult situation he found himself in. I only detail this information to illustrate sometimes there are many background reasons we do not know about and some of the assumptions and perhaps some of the points made with full knowledge may not always be correct. My little experiences so far have taught me to step back in the first instance every time I'm getting cynical, untrusting and actually evaluate what I know as fact and what I have assumed. To be always wary but to understand that we are from two diiferent cultures, everthing is not always what we see or think, different process of logic, values etc have to be considered, they are at work, we do generate their turnover, fulfill their aims and dreams, which may not always be the same as ours.

i myself have seen a number of 'fresh ones' come to Phuket (friends of friends) it is absolutely astonishing how fast they go from shy and retiring sweet innocent girl to speaking english more than decently in less than a month and stringing a number of guys along.
Fair play to 'em of course but its also a little sad as this is the time to nab one for a keeper!

like i said earlier, i had no idea what went on that night and what i had done to make her mad. how could've i known all these that night? anyway, it's now obvious to me. another lesson learned. nevertheless i'm regret to have caused what happened.

Hats off to Dodger!! Brilliant bit of deducerizing!! But, just the same, a remarkable amount of coincidence, as well, since little could he have anticipated that one of our top BMS would find himself enmeshed in a dramatic, fists-flying(well, slaps, actually, but fists sounds better) episode, worthy of the most scandalous TV soap opera production, when he picked up the 3 little lambs at the airport!!
All of which goes to prove that 1)there are two sides to every story and 2)there really are the occasional virgins, fresh in from Isaan, a fact that I have always maintained, in the face of most everyone asserting that virgins were an extinct species in Patong. Nevertheless, although Girl #1(Dee) certainly makes her actons understandable in telling her side of the story, it really doesn't change things a whole lot. The part about her being the butt of sneers from Girl #2 for her being a FL, was probably paranoia, if not just outright excuse-making. I am now assuming the girls 3 and 4 are also FLing, since they now have the new duds, their own apt., and a typical FL attitude. So, it really seems unlikely that Jee would have the nerve to take shots at Dee for being a FL, when her two friends were about to embark on the same course. Being outnumber by 3 to 1 on that issue, she would be taking on all three of them to be so bold as to dish out criticism on their choice of a livelihood. Furthermore, Dee had absolutely no right to assume that she was hooked up with AM for the night. It seems as if she was treating him as her property, i.e., that she had staked her claim on his business. If she was really interested in AM as a person, as opposed to a paycheck, she would have wanted to spend her time being better acquainted with him, and pursuing a possible relationship with him. But, no, she would rather run all around Safari showing off for her friends, while assuming her paycheck for the evening was secured. And she did, definitely, figure that she had Jee to act as her babysitter. Otherwise, she would have never left AM alone, sitting there as fair game for all the other girls in Safari. They just don't do that, unless they feel they have an established relationship with a guy they can count on. So, whereas, her story makes sense, it is still a very slanted story, that doesn't go a long way towards vindicating her poor behavior. Given these new revealations, the big question is: Has Jee's resolve to not become a FL already been broken??? Has the lure of the bright lights and big bucks that she sees her friends enjoying seduced her?? Or is she still the sweet lamb Dodger met when he met them at the plane, and that AM met at Safari? Am, if I were you, I would find out the answer to that question. If she has not been won over to the fast life by her friends yet, then, if I were you, I would be looking her up for a date, ASAP. Because I think that is the right kind of girl for you. You obviously were attracted to her, and the attraction was mutual. BTW, if you do hook up with her, treat her like the princess you want to find, but don't pay her!!! Best of luck, AM. This really could turn out for the best! If she is the kind of girl you are looking for, then go for it!! Be perseverant and don't concern yourself with what her friends might think, or what happened previously!! BTW, you have nothing to apologize for. You were not Dee's property or her date for that evening. She left you, not vice versa. Being attracted to a pretty girl, who is attracted to you, and wanting to take it further and get to konw her is totally normal, and nothing to have any regrets about. Dee's actions, however understandable, given the circumstances, the FL mentality, and the amount of alcohol consumed, do not absolve her of responsibility for her actions. If she ahd been thinking about anything, but her own selfish interest, then her actions would have been a lot different.
