The only thing that enerves me is that rotten rain, and the fact that I do not get over the jetlag and do not sleep and really look like shit. Let the sun come out! guys, 1st off. i dont think anyone should make bad remarks about tintin, hes writing this to tell about his vacation, so if you dont have any advise, id suggest saying nothing.
you already know this martin, but i saw alot of girls in karon, kata that cater to guys like you, that like more of a quiet night than going out crazy, the only thing is a little harder finding prettier ones. i think you should go and hang out at MTB more, for longer periods of time, thats how i usually end up having fun. your a nice, intersting guy to talk to.

I am staying far more then usual in MT bar. Yesterday even 2 hours and had most of the fun there. Yes I am depressed, not by the girls, like I said I had some pretty ones and some fantastic *****, but I am not getting over my jet-lag, because I cannot sleep and am tired all the time.
And you know me, I am an open book! If it is great and a good experience I will tell it, when it is like I am now, no use to hide it either. Days are long when it is raining all the time, it is still right now. Ah I need a beach.....

Hi Martin,
If you are still planning on coming to KL on 29 Nov, you will also face..rain, rain and more rain...it is the monsoon season now in Malaysia...it is raining everyday irrespective of the time..morning, afternoon and evening...there are floods right now in the East Coast!!!! I believe it is flooding in Southern Thailand e.g. Songkla and Hatyai is preparing to face the same situation So prepare for more uninteresting time...when it rains in KL..expect traffic jams and minor floods in the city. Today is the first day I seen some nice and bright sunshine but it was raining heavily this morning! Welcome to Asia  Malaysian

I can understand the weather thing.. We are currently picking up the heavy rains that have been warned about and its is simply pissing it down non stop.. Doesnt give much of a respite even if its not cold..
Get a good waterproof poncho.. Get a good slow massage.. Get some books (though not as easy a it sounds in French or Belgian locally and reading in a non native language can be a head ache I guess) and take it easy.. I guess this is why Karon doesnt factor into my favorites as more places to chill, play pool, get distracted around Patong..

Down time
Last trip I needed a couple of days down time. I stayed at the C&N. It is a great location to relax. In the lobby they have a small book-rack that has books in many languages. Across from the entrance is a small, relaxed bar and in the same street are a couple of good massage places and restaurants.
When my time was up and the g/f arrived to pick me up I was a bit disappointed because I was well into a very interesting book I found in the rack. That whole place really gave me a boost. The staff were great except for the advice from the receptionist that I should "boxing my girlfriend" to sort her out. However, the receptionist did offer to ensure I was not alone but I did want some time to myself. Went back to the bungalow totally refreshed. Steve

Malesian, I am trying to cancel what I can. What is the use of spending quiet some money to sit in a hotel-room. Pitty, pitty, pitty. I look to weather-conditions in other places not to remoted, Chiang Mai, or even Pattaya.
For some this can sound ridicoulous, but I come to Los, not primary for the girls. My wife and I came here on regular bassis together. As winther is still long, but certainly not so wet as now in Phuket, I need an escape to sit always inside my little office, behind my computer. Normally I get up late, have breakfast/lunch at same time and I am on the beach at 14.30-15.00. By 17.30, I go to the room, and then internet or a massage. I heve dinner between 20.00 and 21.00, then listen to some music, like in Margaritas, Mt bar or other, chase sometimes when I am alone. When I have a steady girl, that I did not manage to find now, I prefer to go have dinner, sometimes a bar, or cocktailbar, or tv, with a good glass of wine home. But like I said, I prefer to be OUTSIDE, especially during the day. Believe me, the idea of staying in that little bungalow in Karon for at least 10 days is not a very enjoyable holliday....

TinTin..Yeah the wet weather would dampen anyones enthusiam...especially when on holidays....
Many BM have already offered you advice/ideas of how they would overcome the problems you are encountering right now.... Just choose the ones you most relate to and give them a go...you might be surprised how things change if you try... I usually go off to the beach for the swim/surf and girls....if it sunny or raining it doesn't matter.... Many people relate HOLIDAYS with sunshine...and become confused/unprepared when the weather is not as they hoped... Good luck and may the clouds dissappear>>>>and you smile shine upon Phuket..

To be honest i like a little rain now and then when im in LOS .. it cool´s of a bit and you don´t have to think your a bad tourist cos´you never saw the beach this week
You can sleep long time boom boom all day and make "evil" plans for the coming evening 555 Plus Rain is good for Thailand .. so ivé heard anyway !

I like it raining cos it cools off the day, things to do, millions, afternoon bars, arranging pool competion with other Bm's, hate to say it but indoor shooting compo maybe (count me out) and the obvious just staying in bed with a warm cuddly tg. Perhaps its just about being happy with yourself first, I find fun in an empty room on my own add anything else and it just gets better, it poured one afternoon on my last trip I just organised charades in the hotel reception, ended up 25 people playing from all around, different countries, brilliant fun for a coupla hours. The more people you meet the more fun can be had, tried taking a bunch or tg's prawn fishing, going back to theirs after to eat your catch, they will organise tomorrows fun and it just goes on from there, blimey compared to freezing cold england I know where I'd rather be right now!!

I also happen to think that you would be in a much better position going out later, the girls will be a little more tired, have had their fun dancing or whatever and will be on the scout for a bloke.
BG's will start the evening off with a possibility that an incredibly handsome or rich man will take them to a restaurant, dancing and then to a posh hotel - Towards the end of the night the realisation that this probably wont happen brings them back down to Earth.

why are u in karon on you own the wife not there yet why dont you get your ass down to patong and checked in to the c*n there you can be near all the guys i am sure u will not b depress only a short walk to the bars play pool have a balled your on hoilday snap out of it man you can always go back to karon when the wife turn up then i dont know about you but i would be depress ha ha
