I actually thought about doing a patong radio station at one point, I had some pirate radio experience and its not hard to do the physical side.. Then I found out about licenceing issues and dropped the whole thing..

You could try the bangkok radio for Thai based info online.. Good radio station and interesting talk shows daily..

I'll admit I know very little about it, as no need to know. At home just used to select a music channel on UBC, and in the car some home made CD's did the trick.

On a more seious note, there are also digital/satellite radio stations, which you can get both home and car receivers for.

Cool Phuket radio

There is an English language Phuket radio channel already.I think it's on FM band around 88 to 92 area.It plays a reasonable variety of music and carries local ads.

I think it is 92.5 or something like that, but was only English after 7pm or something like that, unless that has changed
