The Jungceylon project lies in tatters.The building company and the developers have had a bust up and the whole work force was laid off/gone away.

Latest rumour is that the original landowner is now threatening to seize the whole complex.

Its almost all there, a huge shopping complex. No sympathy to the developers, but feel sorry for those that put up deposits for space.

My information is that between the major investors one decided he wanted out (wouldnt you) and the other wanted to complete.. Banks were amienable to refinancing but now you have one that wants to be bought out or hes not going to agree..

So you have your typical power struggle between 2 high powered Thai guys with the face thing in.. Niether can back down so instead a multi billion project stands 90% complete..

steve, know the amount of deposit which was sought, i know it would have been related to shop space.

i heard that the amount required was quite high for ground floor shop space.

No idea, but some of the figures that we were hearing for monthly rental where outrageous.
