- Havent staid there, but the hotel got a private beach so it has to be ok.
2. whats patong like for the shops, can you buy just about anyting?
- Ya.
3. is all food safe to eat or is there anything i should stay away from? i know
about the water
- Maybe stay away from crab and raw shrimps if you have a sensitive stomache. And if you cant handle spicy, dont eat Thai salad.
4. now from what i gather most of you are men on here, and you all like the thai women, but what is there for us girls?
Thank you!!
Hard to say without knowing your age but: Sun, Beaches, Hot Weather, Shopping, Party, Cheap gold, Cheap jewelry, Great food, Nice people and loads of tourists. If you wanna meet a guy the chances are good

p.s what does LOS and BG stand for?
Land of smile, and Bargirl.

Welcome to the Board,
and of course without knowing Your age it is difficult to give any reasonable advice.

But I can comment question no.1. - however I have not been there myself (poor guy as I am ), but one person I know very well and trust very much, has stayed in Le Meridien Phuket.
So - the hotel is located on rather separated area between Karon and Patong, and not so easy access to ordinary fun places. In all other meanings it is like all Le Meridiens all over the world - high standard etc... but costy of course. I'm not sure that this should be my taste when being in Phuket.

As You are girl, there is no sense to inform You that Le Meridien is definitely not guest friendly

Question 2 and question 3 - You can buy and eat anything, but - always - please use Your ordinary common sense . This makes Your wallet and Your stomach feel much more healthy...

About question 4 - no idea at all

1) I researched that hotel and read a lot of reviews, from what i saw there were a lot of both positives and negatives, i think you can google it and you should find a page full of reviews, recent ones more appropriate ovcourse

2) Haven't been there for a while

3) No idea, but from replies yes

4) Give me your number, lol
Nah im sure you will meet some guys there, just be fun and approach and your already 50% there, a lot of guys find it hard to approach women they don't know, try it as a women to see how hard some people find it

Meridien one of the top hotels in Phuket. A bit away from Patong, so you need tuktuk, but not so far away as Laguna hotels. I allways recomend it to friends who want a top hotel. Something like a private beach (private beaches don't excists by law in Thailand, but some hotels do theit utmost best to create a zone/beach where non hotel guests have difficult access). Had the biggest pool in Phuket before the tsunami. Not girl friendly, and oh...expensive.

Wow perfect age, lol, it means your not allowed to bring bar girls there, it depends, are you planning on picking up farang men or thai guys ?? Make sure if your with a guy you make sure he is respectful and shit, i don't know much about how thai guys work so be careful. Yes familys are fine there, im staying in laguna with my family as well, its far away from patong, but i will just get a tuk tuk there when i need to. Another reason with thai guys, is i don't think many of us know exactly what most of them expect from a relationship, as we all deal with the women, so be careful, again this isnt WOW ALL THAI GUYS ARE MURDERERS !! but its just a be careful
BTW make sure you dont go out alone near dark spots at night, always have someone who is able to help out if you ever need it, some bad cases have happened and its better to be aware of a possible threat than ignore them.

On the "not girl friendly" thing, it is actually not "guest-friendly," so you are not going to be bringing guys back to your room unless you wish to pay a stiff fee for it(no pun intended)!!!

I don't know if you can take a guy to your room because I never tried. But it will be like JB writes, not guest friendly, especcially if they can see from a distance that the guy is not a guest in the hotel.
Meridien is family oriented.
