My New Years Resolution was that I would be nice and pleasant to people on Phuket Hash House Harriers instead of being a nasty loud children hating monster.

That lasted a mere 16 hours as when on the Tinmen Hare of the Dog Run held on the 1st January there was an American asshole member who was just acting as a killjoy.So in true drill sergeant fashion I gave him a major ration of shit and the option to get a taxi or settle down.

(for all you non English speakers - I yelled my head off at him)

So,there you go - my good intentions are dead in the water and I have now to be a nasty disciplinarian for yet another year.

So how did all you other BMs get on with your resolutions???

Well...

I'm smoking more than ever.
Drinking more too.
Still not started a good diet + excercise even though I keep meaning to.
Bought myself a new thai language book + CD and have only listened to it once, need to knuckle down.
Have not done anything about signing up for an I.T course yet either in the hope of getting some qualifications that might lead to better pay.

So..failing miserably so far, but it's early doors yet.

Buggr'it give up the smokes, get a hair cut, get a real job - done one got a hair cut, smoking lasted 3 days (See Angels beer board), Real job - get fcuked, given up the cancer sticks again - see if I can last more than 3 days this time ( K2 tell #5 to behave next time and I won't start smoking again)

I've quit the ciggies. Given my booze stash away. Change my underpants every other day now (Soiled or not) and the weight is just falling off on this diet of bottled water and diet celery! The next time I am in LOS I am going to drink Ribena and just look at the girls! Thank you.

well so far so good. i have stuck by me resolution and have been drunk every day so far. not hit the 20 tabs a day yet but working on that (cough...hmm chunky)...

Crustasian- Where do you do the hash from. wouldn't mind giving that a bash in feb when i get there.

The Phuket H3 meets every Saturday at the Ex Pat Hotel on Soi Sunset at 1430 and the bus leaves at 1500

Faulty Towers posted a long detailed article about the hash - look it up.

Just working through my list from last year I managed to pull it off bar the smoking which will have to go in the not to distant future only managed to give up for 10 days last year.

I've already blown it. Tried to give up caffeine. It lasted until about January 6th. 3 hours of sleep and a functional IT day combination requires vast amounts of caffeine. On the plus side, a couple of days without sleep, plus a vast amount of coffee = everything becomes really ****ing funny.

Haven't had a drink since 2 Jan and will hold out until the end of the month ( will stray on my Birthday though

). It isn't half making me feel grumpy though and the girls on Bangla look more like the morning after than the nite before at the moment.
