*Here we go my time has come!!!!*

At last I'm on the way to the airport in a couple of hours for my month in Thailand.

First stop Koh Samui for a week and then onto Phuket, coming back to Bangkok for a few days towards the end.

Before joining the forum I knew nothing about Thailand,

After reading up and getting advice from everyone I still don't!

Just kidding,

Although I haven't been yet,

This forum has given me help and advice which normally only time and experience would give, so to all the old hands if I may call you that!

Many thanks to,

All who have replied to my threads, i salute you,

Hope I do you proud and have a few stories to tell,

Speak to you guys and girls when I'm back,

Have a great trip , you will find it's exactly what you been told......and more !!!

A trip report would be really good , as you've already found out , it can help others make their choices.

Have Fun

Hell Kathleenbilly, look forward to know how you get on in Koh Samui, I'm going for 1 week in April and then onto Hua Hin for 1 week. Enjoy Phuket, went last year and fantastic.

Wsssh,

Just a quick note: Koh Samui nice little island enjoyed the first 4 nights there.

Main advice don't get too drunk and ride your motorbike,

Unfortunately seeing one of my friends who was very happy and good, two days later he got too drunk, crashed his bike and was a real mess.

There is no easy way to fall off your bike trust me he is in a bad way!

However please don't be put off.

The bike part in Koh Samui is a real plus point for me great fun and its fine, the freedom of it excellent jump on and its great! just drive sensible and your be ok.

150b for normal bike (gears)
200b for an automatic. Me automatic much better because of the stop starting you get due to the traffic.

Anyway in Phuket for 10 days looks good and have met Nicky,

Will give more detailed info later into my holidays or better still when home,

Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself and that you made it over there.

Regarding bikes, we do know already.

You must be careful on those things, if you have an accident which involves a thai, you will pay, not them. And for a bike that size, you have no insurance.
