For seafood, I will recommend you the little restaurants on mainroad 100 meter North ot Taipan, on the left. I always go to "cocaonut", never dissapointed. Real taste, not like "farang"-places on beach-road. Excellent fishcakes too!

For shopping, take a bus to Central. Very big shoppingmall, with even movietheaters. A little bit further, Big c and Tesco.

For refined thai food, try the Seashag, in the soi, near the Japanese restaurant Zen, on beachroas. Much better then Baan Rim pa, but not the same setting!

For shopping go to Central Festival for quality brands can also go see a movie there if you like and eat good food. If you wanna do some cheap shopping go to BigC which is about 5 min walk from there. For none-brands and or copy's go Phuket town - Department store or is it Robbson or something. Well both are cheap.

For food there is so many different places, and i never remember any names of the restaurants.
