Yes you can. Just approach a tuk tuk and tell him where you going. You can haggle with him to keep the price down. He will wait for you usually woth no probs.
Cheers,
DD
p.s. being a new guy I suggest you search the forumns a bit, check the newbie section as well.

Tuk Tuk half days
A few of my friends do this when they come out.The old price for an afternoon going round the southern part of the island and Phuket City was 600 Baht. It's probably more now but you can stop where ever you want for eats and beers.
The driver will probably want to take you to a few shops where he gets a kick back from the owner.Don't worry, you are not obliged to buy anything and he still gets his 20 Baht.
There are also a number of private air con taxis which you can do the same with.

That was a Vientaine farm cart
I know taxis can be bad but not that bad. That was when I hitched a lift with a bunch of farmers in Laos on the Thinking Drinking Team Hash Run.
It's not cheating - there are no rules.

As far as I know Rico is Scandinavian owned, probably Swedish. You even can see Swedish, Fin and Norvegian flad on the tuctuc add. Rico is in a soi onBangla, next to Monte Carlo (or is it Monaco?).

Rico`s is owned by a swede named Leif Illernäs. He had a restaurant at an amusement park (Gröna Lund) here in Stockholm before with the same name.

Klavg01 should get his bearings right. The Rico in the tuctuc add where he is asking info from is the Swedish guy (and the pic is taken in front of the Tong Lodge Hotel as can bee seen). On beach road, in the soi where you have King's Fashion on the corner, there is an Italian "Trattoria Carpi da Rico".
