Don't understand the question - I am home. Or did you mean my birth country? No, never go back.

Been 4 years since I went back and the only reason I will return is to see my family.. Easier cheaper and more fun to bring them here..
Having been moving most of my life I dont have a home town or place that I can consider home..

i've been living overseas for 6 yrs now and dont really think about "home" much these days. i normally go back to uk for a month once a year and thats plenty. normally start climbing the walls after 2 weeks. altho i have been there 3 time over the past 6 months while im in transit.... for me home is where i hang my hat.

have to agree with the previous - tis is home now. Been here 3 1/2 years and not been back to UK. As LiL says, more fun to see relatives out here.
I would like to take the GF back to the UK tho and do the tourist thang.
Maybe this year (said that every year)!

One visit every two years
I go home once every two years for the family visit. The last time I had met everyone in the first three days and was kicking my heels for the last two weeks.
I felt as if I was wasting my time instead of being out here where my home and business are.
IMO home is where you want it to be and mine happens to be here.

I understand this. I only go to my homecountry for paperwork, or when I really have to.
Still once, maximum twice a year, but then it is only 1200 KM!

I make it home once a year. THat is plenty though. It is good to get back and see family, however it seems that life changes when you are away.
I have returned full time now and do miss my life overseas.
Life changes, you make the most of where you are at the present time, if you are happy, that's great. If you are not, then it is time to make a change.
Cheers,
Ashley
P.S. you gotta love Vancouver though Paul. Like an oriental buffet over there!!

Not really, as you were looking at 1 asian, 6 "light ones" walked past you on the other side.

Spent a good part of my earlier life overseas, not Thailand but nearby, and also travelling around. Everyone has a very different take on it, but somehow I also felt and thought of home as Sydney, no matter where I was or how long I had been there, but doesnt mean I like Sydney more than where I was at the time.

Well ahh boys, you see it be all in them thar leylines, where they cross is tha strongest to call home.
The above is a local, east anglian (hence poor spelling to indicate accent) story about the local leylines, leylines don't know if that is correct spelling but I do know that they reckon more of them converge where I live than anywhere else in the UK, which means wherever I go I will always be drawn back to my home here. Time will tell if its fact or just an old wives tale.

Kind of hippy / alternative stuff.. Shakra's, Crystals, that kind of shit..

As much as I love NYC, these days I've been seriously thinking moving out to the west coast San Francisco Bay or San Diego Area just to try it out for a few years.

Why!!
Only reason to go 'home' is family and business - other than that no desire to have to go through LHR or LGW - just being in the terminal is enough to remember why wanted to leave Blighty in the first place!

I fully agree, I last wen home 6 years ago for a 3 week holiday and was back here after 2 weeks, I felt like a tourist in my own country, plus have not lived there in 23 years so I don't consider it as home any more.
