Member seniority

I checked the newbies area and even did a search, but nothing to tell me how the membership seniority works. To be come a senior elite member do you have to have shares in MTB or just be an old B*stard that won't shut up? Not that it is one of my life's ambitions, just would like to know how much respect (or lack thereof ) to show some of these "Elite or Senior" members?

It has to do with your post count think its 1000 posts for senior elite member.
It is given automatically by forum program.

"Not that it is one of my life's ambitions, just would like to know how much respect (or lack thereof ) to show some of these "Elite or Senior" members?"

to me 3 factors are involved
1/ number of posts
2/ join date
3/ value of threads and value info given (comes with reading as many posts as possible)

not in any order

Thanks for that. If I ever get to be a Senior member, I have too much time on my hands!

It is just a way of showing if the guy is involved a lot in this forum.

If you want respect, then you don't have to get many posts!
I hate the senior-title, doesn't make me feel younger 5555

Don't see what the prob is. Seniority by postings is fine and as far as I have seen so far the moderators do a good job without being oppressive. I used to be a member of the Thaivisa site - they were happy to let me slag off a bad eatery but when I tried to recommend a good one I got warned and when I complained I got 'suspended' for 20 years (yes, twenty). Couldn't figure that one out. A bunch of Naz*s I suppose. Then I came here, much more fun.
Keep rocking guys. We will drop in on the MTB on the next trip, don't know when 'cos brassic at the mo.

Actually there have been a few folks banned.

Temporary bans, of 48 hours, can also be earnt by members for really bad cases of flaming and being generally unfriendly.
