I had a kid work for me just like Rizz. Talk, talk, talk. Could not just keep quiet and learn. Nice kid, just trying to play grown up.
One day he decided he wanted to play poker at our weekly poker night. So, I took him home with me (we were working 2 hrs out of town). We went to poker night and drank the poor kid under the table. Have to give him credit though, he really tried to keep up. Anyway, cleaned him out for about $200 and put him to bed on my couch.
5:00 am I cooked up a big feed of bacon and eggs. Kid was almost green but would not admit it. 6:00 am loaded him in my car and headed to work. Don't know why but the car seemed to go awfully fast that morning, steering was a little loose to. "you ok chris?" I'd ask. "I feel great Dave!!"
Well, half mile from the jobsite, the heaves started. Bad ones, puke all down my car door. That day at work there were an unusual amount of hole to be dug.
It may have been cruel, but he learned. Me and the others drank more than him. Me and the others got up for work. Me and the others put in a full day.
Chris held out that day. Learned that he didn't know it all. And was accepted by the rest of the crew.
Guess the point is Rizz, respect has to be earned. And if you don't have anything to contribute, keep your mouth shut. If you are interested, stick around and the guys will show you the ropes.
Your first posts were real. You weren't afraid to sound innocent and some of the guys were taking you under thier wing. Since then you've been playing "the man" and it's turned some people off.
