Had a very enjoyable night last night playing the dice game with a beautifull young girl in a bar not the shipwreck but that you still cannot bar fine from. It amazes me that there are a few bars along bangla that the girls cannot be bar fined from, I guess the reason that it suprises me, is this is my first trip to los and after reading these forums for a few months before coming I never recall this being disscussed, It is not a problem for me just a curiousity that no one brings it up to tell newbie visitors.
Anyway, I bought a few drinks, then all the girls wanted a drink, OK no problem, then we start playing the dice game, but the bar girl wants to play on number only for 100baht a win. OK I think this is a scam, but what the hell, so we start playing and the first 2 hands she looses gives me 200 baht What the Fcuk I start thinking, but keep playing, keep buying drinks, after maybe 1 hr I am down 1500 baht and she is very and I mean very excited, but after another hour or so the tables have turned and she is down to me to the tune of 600 baht (and not to happy about it). Then her boss says she must stop playing and serve the drinks to other customers.
So here I am sitting in the bar having just won 600 baht from this bar girl, she seems ok about it, anyway after about 1/2 hr of joking drinking etc I try and give it back to her but she says no she lost at game so she must pay! So after another hr or so I force her to take 1000 baht from me, So did I just get played or was it just inoccent fun. Either way I dont really care as giving her 1000baht for a few hours of non sexual fun is sure alot cheaper than going to play black jack at home in the casino. and then I went home to sleep alone again

It doesnt really matter what other people think whether you got played or not, sounds like you enjoyed yourself, and thats all that should matter.

Steve M is right - you had fun so cannot lose.

I do see it a lot tho, they know if they pout a bit and sulk the farang wont take their money and its best to give it back in some way just for future friendliness

i may be a hard b@stard but if i win at dice/cards from a BG and i know she has a good sponsor or 2 its take the money. they would take mine.

if its a little bit of baht i give the money saying do not bl**dy gamble.

i decided once i lent money to a BG it was to always be a business transaction and now games of chance are of the same principle.

won 6000 bt off a new girl 1 time, she had just had her first top paying customer and she challenged me to the game of chance.

i returned the money, told her to buy me a drink, but still every time i return to patong, she challenges me.

i dont return the money anymore. she knows the risks.

..i agree with you fun2have i also take my win most of the times,but if i know that the girl i play with dont have money or are in debt in the bar i just say tell her that i dont want her money but she can buy me a drink,and when i pay my build i give her good tip

I never take a bar girls money. I know they play me, but I loved to be played.

If I play with girl for an hour or so I figure she has lost potential customers. $10 for two hours of (sometimes) undivided attention from a LBFM is cheap as chips IMHO.

most of the time i play for money, its the BGs who approach me to play the game.

i dont like taking money from the girls but they would take mine if they win.

Women and gambling, in thailand is bad bad business. I know BG's who do it daily and they tell me they lose 10k 20k one even lost 200k in 1 week. But they get excited when they tell me, today I win 4k.

Gambling - You pay for the entertainment, not to win. Its the entertainment value which makes it fun. If you have the mentality of thinking you will win, then more fool you.

Play the BG's for money sure, if you want. If they are nice to you and not psyco or anything, then let them keep the money. If you are just a tourist here, then 1000 baht aint much. If you work here, and get low wages, then 1000 can be alot of money to you.

Anyway - All i am saying is - gamble for fun, if you start hating it, or losing and getting angry - then gambling aint for you

won too much money from an ex-BG bar owner, loves to play 8 ball for money.

lost most of it back on purpose over next 2 nights, as Electro said gambling and BGs can be bad news some times.

Its amazing how no matter how much money a TG owes you after bar games, you never seem to get any of it... and the best bit is you seem to not care.. in fact it goes 1 step further, and you end up payign for their drinks and BF...only in LOS

Remember on my birthday a couple of years ago playing for gradually more and more - my choice for fun. In the end played for £10 a game (nothing??), and it was superb!! drew a crowd of smiling happy girls, plus shooters for me and my mate and left me with priceless memories. Left the bar with a new gf as well. Play for fun, spend money as it is still a cheap night out compared with home, and it is like your bd every night!!......

you are right IJ, i should not play them for money, but i am aussie and i love the punt.

i made the mistake of first playing a BG for money, as i of course lost for the first time, i acquired more friends to play with.

but even after i learnt all the tricks, they always challenge me.

even though i usually win now, the girls keeping on asking for a game.

i have won a few nights without paying the barfine or the LT. of course i always give the BG some taxi money in the morning
