Exclamation Careful where you park your motorcycle

Hi Folks
When i was in Patong bangla road area in November,in the early evening we parked the moped up in what seamed like a normal bike parking spot in between others , went to a bar or two only for a couple of hours, when we returned to the bike there was a chain and padlock through our bike and some others. So she went and found a policeman whilst i waited by the bike and he gave the girl a piece of paper and told her to go to the station pay i think a 300bht fine which i paid. The paper was then produced back to the policeman near where the bike was and he unlocked ours. The problem was we parked over an exit.
Any one had problems like this

I only had this problem in Sansabai long time ago, due to lack of space people used to park on both sides of the road and if you had bad luck you got a ne and chained. I think these days nobody park on the wrong side anymore, due to strict enforcement from police on this.

Be careful. There are some spots, where you think you can park, but they are reserved for motorbike - taxis. There is a sign, but it is more then once hidden.

Fair enough, I just thought it was a bit strange 55555 Either that or they'd only just let you out of prison for that offence in Thailand !!
