Lifetime accomplishments
Ok guys, here's a thread right out of Marc26's books...
What would you consider your top 3 accomplishments so far in life?
I ran into a girl last night that I hadn't seen in 15 years and we got talking about what we've been up to since we last saw each other. It really got me thinking about what I've done so far.
I put my top 3 so far at:
1. Travelling.
2. Graduating university and starting my career.
3. Dating a Sikh girl for 5 years (there's enough stories to tell about this to fill a lifetime of accomplishments...)
I honestly think that my trip to Thailand is the highlight of my life so far!
Wondering if I'm alone in that or if others on here think the same.

It's a good question, sadly I am 22 and have not had any great accomplishments that I can really feel proud of. That being said You stated "so far" so I guess I can give you 3.
1. I Have been bodybuilding since I was 16, and my physique is finally starting to mature into something I am happy with.
2. Going to Thailand and Vietnam.
3. ?
I have a long way to go I think.

1. Some mornings just getting out of bed feels like a lifetime achievement.
2. I've been drinking beer since the age of 16 and finally getting the body I deserve.
3. ......
Seems like I've got a long way to go too.

Hey Mav,
I'd say that we're all "square", on that score.
Yep, 3 for 3...same here!
Only thing, I still can't figure out that "shoe lace" thing??? Right over left, or left over right??? I just use a ssssssssssssquare knot, and figure it out, at the end of the day?
(Oh, and Nid Noy...I "did" a (not so) feature film once, my own self!
Long time ago...a friend of mine, and his two sisters???
Teenage frivolity, I guess. (Never made the big screen)
Accomplishment???
Pablo

Achievement????????
[Sikhism is a belief practiced by East Indians.[/quote]
CK. You were with this lady for 5 years?
Didn't you ever discuss her beliefs with her?
Sihkkism is a monotheistic religion founded in the 15th. century ( I think) by Guru Nanak.
It began in the Punjab state in North West India where most of it's approximately 20 million followers now live. Not East India.
How the fcuk did your relationship manage to last 5 years.
Given your disinterest in her beliefs, I suppose that is an achievement.

Sorry Paul, I am at a loss. This seems to be an answer to some question, but I did not ask any, with the exception of the "jokingly" question to Mav about his meandering past

Some people use 'East India' to describe the Indian sub-continent and thus distinguish it from the West Indies

Well guys........at the risk of sounding like a wanker???........you might have noticed on another thread where I talked about my band Pel Mel supporting Elvis Costello and the Attractions in the early 80s.......which to me was the highlight of my musical career because he was my musical hero and still is in many ways.........I was also a session musician around that time supplementing my degree in Architecture in both Australia and UK
Australian bands I have played on stage with include The Boys next Door and The Birthday Party.......Nick Caves seminal Aus bands.....and Hunter's and Collector's amongst others
UK bands include a European tour with Simple Minds at the very last minute and a couple of the PostCard Bands of the early 80's with Edwin Collins formerly of Orange Juice and Roddie Frame....amongst others
As far as buildings go..........I have collaborated on and off with people like Renzo Piano and Rem Koolhaus who are contempories of mine.......my latest baby is my new house in NZ which I am about to move into on a part time basis between there and Sydney........you might have noticed I had it up on the board as my avatar for a week a little earlier this year
Oh and Mav...........I never did get the right over left etc thingy.......that's why I always wear slip ons and elastic sided boots....55555
