That happened to me last time out, mother's day or something. Arriving in Patong with your dancing trousers on to find the place drier than a nun's nasty is surreal.

You will be ok - normally as soon as the polling stations shut on the 2nd the bars can return to selling. Well as soon as the MIB say they can. I think it was Kangaroo that didn't wait, a couple of years ago, and all the staff had a 30 day holiday!

I sincerely hope there are no elections/bhuda days/kings birthday during my stay between july 2nd and 18th because the place is a total bummer when that happens i dont save up for 6 months to arrive to closed bars .

is that a ladyboy ?, was drinking at sharkys bar in tiger, and it said its name was pepsi.

it is a pain when those days come along where everything shuts down. thats good about this forum somebody usually warns you, so you know to stock up on booze, and organise your BG in advance.

The main thing I hate about bar closing days is that I always seem to get twice as messed up and then have the world's worst hangover the next morning.
