Unhappy what happened

posted the following on a recent thread in response to mention of ....

'666 the number of the beast'

DSCI0228.JPG DSCI0236.JPG

can anyone see a connexion?

psssst Stevem BIG HINT - look at the license plate!!!!!!!!!

thought this was an interesting coincidence and it happened in LOS and its actually true.

while we all appreciate the need for moderation, threads often head in unpredictable directions- that's part of their fascination.

if we have to have posts deleted, it might be common courtesy for the person responsible to at least reply to PMs

1st feckin time i managed to post a pic too

If you think that we moderators have the time to look at everything with a microscope, then think again. If we feel that something needs to be moderated then so be it, no further discussion needed.

We get sick and tired of BM's crying when something of theirs gets deleted, get over it.!!!!!!

Less of an interesting coincedence and more of an expensive plate..

They auction these numbers off every once in a while.. Someone is trying to sell me a scooter with a 777 number plate at the moment.

seafox and I posted the quotes you mention.

The thread is still running , I think it was "down" for a while until some "inappropriate" posts were removed. Occassionally a BM will delete the initial post in a thread , this will result in all the posts disappearing. Also , as the Mods are doing their jobs voluntarily , they don't really have time to inform everyone when posts are "moderated".

Here's the link to the original thread.

over it already Stevem, no problemo.

I realise the mods have a sometimes thankless task and would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks for all your efforts.

BUT i don't think you needed a microscope to spot the connexion, a little bit of lateral thinking perhaps. I'm afraid Steve i don't get you about time, you've taken time to read the post and gone to the trouble of deleting it - the only further thinking again needed is to work out a basis for action taken.

Is it just possible YOU didn't spot the link and acted a little precipitately?

"no further discussion needed" - i think you sell short yourself, the other mods and the board at large with this slightly high-handed approach. The mods enjoy a priveledged position that is based on trust, something that can be easily eroded.

LIL,
thanks for the heads up - see you live and learn about LOS here, surely the intention of most who post on the forum

Look, I can see why you ask the question, but what is achieved by banging on about a post in another thread that was deleted?

You think Steve made an error and want an explanation. Steve has explained that if, as a moderator, he took the time and trouble to get involved in a debate about everything he did he would never get through all the posts and PMs.

You are at an impasse here that there is no answer to so why not just accept that you don't agree and move along?

agreed steve@thaib, you're absolutely right of course.

just a case of ruffled feathers

no offense intended - or taken, i hope.

back to the important business at hand, enjoying the board and trying to enrich the experience and understanding of LOS for all those who love the place

Didn't read the thread but the original 666 appeared in another thread where a number of BM's talked about 333 and the 333 club. personaly, i prefer sitting on 333 more than on your 666.
