has anybody stayed at the baan tantawaan?
if so what is it like,is it guest friendly and would you recomend it,also is it very close to bangla road?i decided to go for a bigger place than c&n on my next visit in september and this place looks and sounds ok,but would appreciate ppls views who have actually been thwere.

what price did or will pay for the room. what they say on there website doesn't mean what they will charge anyone.
most of the time it's cheaper then the website.

any forum members back from patong just start a quick tread saying what hotel / resort you stayed and the price of the room.

a lot of the forum members who write on it stay in the same hotels, so other members put your hotel up so we can compare prices ect

i got a price for baan tantawaan and they said i could have a superior apartment for 16 days for 800 baht a nite.

I might sound really stupid but can you guys explain to me why you'd have to pay for an extra guest anyways?? How would they know if you bring in another guest & aren't you renting out the room already..so why do you have to pay extra for visitors? I've never been to Thailand...will be going in Oct...Someone educate me plzz.

a lot of hotels are trying to portray a family venue and as such dont want the bar girls there,so they charge you to take guests back to your room,i was in peach hill hotel in kata and they charged me 1000 baht a nite,needless to say 2 days later i moved to c&n in patong which is very guest friendly.

Yes i stayed there for ten days and i wasnt very impressed, the website stated pool and when i checked in there was no pool but a external spa which was unfinished and not usable. The cleaning of rooms was very poor, they dont change sheets even if you request it, the bins werent emptied daily and even toilet paper had to be asked for. The room is OK if you are staying upstairs, down stairs you need to have your roomlight on even during the day (lack of natural light).

No charge for BGs. I was there in high season and there wasnt much around. Now that there is an aboundance of accom look for another place.

thxs for your advice m8,c&n it is then by the looks of it,unless some1 else can recomend something between 500-800 baht a nite within walkin distance of bangla road and preferably with a pool,but not essential.
