Does anyone remember Bernard Trink from the Bangkok post. He just disappeared. Maybe a case of TIT.

He didnt just disappear, he got the shove out the door due to not being PC enough. He does have a web site.

i have read some of his former stuff and it as quite amusing.
i would imagine wanting for this kind of farang-versed writing if i was an expat

He got the shove from the Bangkok Post a long time ago, not enough PC any more. I found his columns very amusing as I first came to Thailand -- sometimes would read the Bangkok Post only because of them -- but towards the end it became quickly clear that it was all the same shit cooked up over and over again.

He tried to restart with a website with paid membership, but I never heard that actually anybody would have been willing to pay for it; can't find the website in Google, but I remember that stickman had an interview with him where the website was mentioned.

He got more and more cranky and he was getting old and just resorting to reporting on happy hours and such. However his early stuff was quite good.

Why he stuck with the aids bullshit is beyond me but he was quite a bitter man in the latter years.

tabo (not the border town on the mekong) is still just a peasant. ignorance was all too visible in his views, he will set back south africa like mugagbe zimbabwe, but maybe too old.
i heard that trink had married a 17 year old cutie from the udon, he speaks no thai after 40 years in los, and she wont have to listen to him, perfect marriage ?
