If you do a visa run ..then yes
Just want to add if you click 'search at the top' and go to advanced seach, you can type in visa on the left side and it will produce many threads as this subject has been talked about to death on this board.
Here is one example you may find helpful

You can extend it at immigration with 10-15 days, cost 1900 baht and you need a photo. (Thay may be able to take one for you)

This year I made both of my visa runs to Cambodia. I highly recommend it. Costs a bit more for air fare and entry/exit fee, but I made up most, if not all the differerence in hotel bills($10 per night), and money spent on girls($15 per night). That is a minimum savings of $20 per day, and, compared to what I was spending in BKK(2000 Baht LT), more like $50 per day savings. Also in the bars there, the girls don't usually ask you to buy them ladydrinks!! They are just happy if you bang them for $15. More savings! If you stay a week, you will easily make up for the money you spent on planes and entry/exit fee.

Phnom Penh. Near the river, that's where all the tourist cafes are. The bars aren't far from there. You can get a tuk tuk driver to drive you around for the whole evening for $5 (they ask $10, will take $5). I recommend Mr. Nimo for tuk tuk chauferring, great guy, always a big smile for you, knows all the places. It is very different from Patong in that the bars are more spread out, not clustered together like Patong. And there are not so many bars, bu then there aren't a lot of guys in them either. Loads of girls to go around.
The bars and clubs and cheap hotels are between 100 St and 180 St. from 49 St. to the river. Most all the streets are numbered with even running perpendicular to the river and odd running parallel. Some of the clubs I like are Barbados, Rose Bar, Banana Bar, Zanzibar, Mikado, and Cyrcee. Bu there are loads of others. And, of course, you've got to go to Heart of Darkness disco.
I stayed at Royal Highness Hotel on 172 both times, which is the same street that Flamingo is on, but there are lots of other cheap hotels in that neighborhood, as well. Some of the rooms are pretty funky there, but others are decent, and they have some nice ones for a little more $ also. I liked the one I had for $10 but it was a 5th floor walk-up. When we went there the first time, we just kept talking to the guy showing us rooms. We wouldn't take a funky one, or a more expensive one, and a couple of times we said sorry and started to leave. Then the rooms got better and the price came down, but still we did have the 4 floors to walk up. I wanted to move, but my buddy said No, and in a few days I got used to the walk-up, and actually took the same room on my second trip.
They had some very, very nice rooms, very large wit big sitting area, sofa and chairs, and large fridge, just remodelled like new, upstairs from Rose Bar for $15/night. The only catch was that you had to walk thru the bar to get to the stairs that go to the rooms. Since we had already gone with some girls from that bar, we decided to pass on the rooms, rather than have to take our future dates thru the bar, past some maybe unhappy BGs, altho the girls said it would not be a problem.

P.S. I forgot to mention that you have to fly Air Asia out of Bangkok to Phnom Penh to make it affordable. Thai Airways is much more expensive!! Also, you need to book a few days in advance, if you are trying to keep your costs down. If you book only one or two days ahead, the cost is higher. You can book a ticket on their website or call their number in Thailand. Cheap and very easy!!
