When I'm in Patong I go for daily motorbike rides to Karon to body surf and play volleyball. Every time I think I should chill out here for a few days and I never do. Hopfully this year. Aloha Andrew

Please kindly specify more precisely location of a Bernie's place, as I was today checking twice all beachroad towards Patong from traffic circle up to some Doctor's reception ad (a bit before road bend to Phuket Ocean Resort hotel) and did not recognize the place at all on my right side (and there is nothing on the left side).
Or is it even more far away towards Patong - somewhere in Front Village hotel area ? Or even more far - then I just will not walk that distance

Enjoying this thread - I stayed at Kata last time, but thought that Karon would be a better bet for my next trip to Phuket. The info on this thread confirms it. Tks guys, I hope to put the info to good use soon.

Just returned from Bernie's place and met the guy himself as well.
Delicious fish with garlic and pepper, Singha as usual , lot of Swedes having pool game without rules - perfect!

To the newbies like me (being in Karon Beach 1-2 times per year during about 10 years from now) - the place is located immediately on right hand side AFTER Phuket Ocean Resort hotel, if walking from Karon traffic circle. Next hotel will soon be then Front Village.

I can say that kitchen was good - so please enjoy!
