best massage
just want to know if anyone knowswhere the best thai massage place is in patong. i dont mean the ones where you get the happy ending just the legit ones where a massage is all you get

Theer are over 50 massage places in Patong and around 300 ladies, so enjoy trying them out.
Just because a lady offers you a range of happy endings doesn't mean she can't give you an excellent massage too. The happy ending is not compulsory....you can always say "May Ow Kap"

Dolphin Massage - Nuch - Great for Thai Massages - if you like them.
The shop is inside a shopping area. Where the Cross roads is, as you come into Patong you turn right, head towards the beach road, and 20m on your left into the shopping area. There is a massage shop called Dolphin Massage - not the one on the right which is called Dolphin World (iirc). Anyway Nuch is a lovely lady, and also there is a stunner in there called Jay (although never massaged with her). E

On the Beach Road(Thawewong Rd.), between Bangla and Sawatdirak. In other words, go down Bangla to Beach Rd., make a right turn onto the Beach Rd. On the same side of the road as the beach, about halfway between Bangla and Sawatdirak, is a massage place where the ladies sit out front and wear yellow shirts(usually). I can't think of the name but it has Luang in the name and is two words, the other word beig the name of a flower. So it means some kind of yellow flower.
At that parlor, is a lady named Tuk. She is 27 yrs. old. When I am in Thailand, I get a massage almost every day, and like you, I go for Thai massage, not for happy endings. In 5 tours and a total of 10 months spent in LOS, I have only come across one masseuse who was better than her, and that was in Chiang Mai. When I find a good one, I stick with her. But even so, in 5 trips, I've probably had 50 different masseuses, because if they are not very good, they don't get a second try with me. Tuk is no. 2 on my all-time list!! They charge 500 Baht for a 2 hour Thai massage, so it is a little more there, but she is worth it.

Slightly misleading directions there JB. If you go down Bangla towards Beach Rd you have to make a RIGHT turn to go towards Sawatdirak Rd. Your directions point the opposite way along the Beach Rd.

I prefer Thai massages over everything as well. If you go to Wanida's Massage in Soi Wattana, (off of beach road near ZEN restaurant which is past McDonalds) they have a couple who are very good, NAN is one of the girls names, who I think is great as she is strong. The other girl I cannot remember her name.

Have to agree with JB take a right at the end of bangla road and follow the road adjacent from the beach. You will find a couple of good massage places in some of the laneways which end at the beach which link up with the main road. There is one massage place in the middle of one of these lane ways which looks like a carriage. very professional and 200 baht for a thai massage with tea, cleaning of the feet etc - basically the works!

I dont think I can say which place its the best one, as it depends on the girl who give you the massage. So the same place can be both good and bad. I used to stick to the same masseuse once I found a good one.

I used to go to Nai Harn, many good places there especially one on the road to Kata/Phuket when you come from the beach, near an internet shop. They have bar, pool, sauna and good masseuses

i really liked the bali hai spa massage. when you walk down bangla-road towards the beach and then you make a right. you walk along beach road until the next road comes (cant remember the name) then you take a right and on the left handside there's the bali hai...you gotta try the russian powder massage

If you have back problems or are just super sore for whatever reason and fancy a massage that is more than just pleasureable I recommend this place in Phuket town. it is 180 baht for two hours and all the masseuses are blind. A bit odd sounding I know but they have hands of gold. See their website:

Rather than saying one person is 'wrong' or 'right' its probably easier to assume that one person was given a low / local / thai / real price while another was gouged a little.. Happens with everything.. Both right prices for what they were charged.
