Need some helping planning tour

I am planning on coming to Thailand in november. I am just waiting for the boss to agree to it so i wont know for another few weeks. My idea was to base myself in Phuket rather than Bangkok because Phuket is a quiet relaxing place and after worring about blood tests results and heart scans i really thought about a more relaxing trip (thank god everything was ok) Ok my Idea was to get a late night flight from Frankfurt to Singapore on Singapore airlines and change at Singapore to Phuket. The reason being that i can work on that day and fly out from Frankfurt at 22.20 or something like that. Also the flight works out cheaper than flying Thai into Bangkok

From there i didnt want to spend all my time in Phuket. I wanted to go probably north for a few days. I thought about Pattaya (i know its not north) but i think really this is more of an R&R trip and didnt fancy Pattaya. I wanted to skip Bangkok aswell. I went there twice and wanted to see somewhere new.

However when i go to sites like Thaiair everything seems to go via Bangkok and most places like Nok Air and 1-2-go only seem to fly Phuket-Bangkok. i wanted to do a direct flight somewhere. Airasia didnt seem to do a lot either.

As a lot of you have done many tours of Thailand i was wondering what advice you could give. I could do Phuket-Koh Samui but i am not 100% sure about that. I should be in Thailand for about 15 days from around november 8th and want to spend the 1st 6 nights in Phuket then about 4 nights somewhere else and the rest of the time back in Phuket before i fly back to Germany. Any advice would be great.

Many thanks guys

Unless you go from HKT to Samui or use Silkair to go to KL or Singapore, you don't have much choice other than to go north via BKK.

Thanks dawsey

That was what generaly what i was starting to see. I might just head to Bangkok for a few nights still some places i would like to see there anyway and another night at the Lumpini stadium wouldnt be such a bad idea. Also a trip down soi cowboy to the dollhouse is another good idea I have been to KL before and dont really fancy going back i saw all i wanted to there. I have never been to Singapore but i dont really fancy it this time. i think maybe on my next tour or after that. I might visit pattaya just to see it for myself and will probably find some other board members. Maybe next time i will base myself in the north and spend time up there

Bangkok Airways flies direct from Phuket to Ko Samui. From there you could also either make the short trip to Ko Pha Ngan or take the train(1st class is very relaxing) to Hua Hin, which is a very laid-back town, very quiet and peaceful, w/ nice beach, nice girls!!

dollhouse worth the trip as is long gun down to soi cowboy, baccara is becoming jap central.

i think its virtually all via bkk when going north, but i suppose bangkok air straight to pattaya from phuket can be done. never done that flight.

but go via bkk, soi cowboy for a night, and up to chiang mai (the rose of the north) or udon (the dry plain of the north east) and up to loei for the quiet of hills, or nong khai for relaxing on the river.

on the other hand, phuket then pattaya and chase some bgs.
