Will probably draw a blank on this but does anyone know if it is easy or difficult for a BG to get a visa for India. I am from Australia but have been working in India and was thinking of bringing over my thai girl for a holiday. I know they can get visas for Singapore and other asian countries relatively easy but was wondering if that is the case with India. Any info appreciated.

I cant offer any real info only comment that I cant imagine its too hard to get INTO India !!!

For those who are interested, visas are a breeze for India. No questions asked.
No LOS blues for yours truly anymore, have the BG rotation program up and running and the Phuket holiday booked (alone of course) after a short trip back home to Oz for Xmas.

Could you expand a bit? What was the application process like? How long did things take to get approved? Do you need approval from the Indian AND Thai authorities? Any restrictions or headaches to watch out for?

I'm interested because I have a 5 year business visa for India, and a 1 year non-imm B for Thailand, so I may be bouncing back and forth. Thanks, and I am glad you got yours sorted.

I was already working in India. I sent a supporting letter for my girl. I gave them my Indian phone number, company name, address and business visa number. On her application she said she was a cashier. I never heard from them and they didn't check her work details. They may have checked my visa details which were all legitimate. I am working for an international engineering company. Her application was approved in about 2 days.
The thai food she cooks has been a breath of fresh air from the Indian curry i can tell you. Best of luck, maybe we can meet for a beer in Delhi sometime or Phuket, i'll be there in early January.
