Places to eat in Kata/Karon
Good Day,
I plan to stay in Karon when i go back to Phuket in December.
I drove pass the area when i was in Phuket earlier in May this year. Very nice place.
Can anyone suggest good places to hang out and to eat?
Thank you.
Cheers.

Try Angus O'Tools opposite the Islandia Hotel in Karon they serve excellent food and are good hosts, another place that serves good food in Karon is The Green Chili on the beach road. In Kata try HC Anderson.

Red onion is a place with indeed, among the best food in Karon. I did take-out there, when I rented a bungalow, as the setting is NOT nice. On the busy road, one on another, not cosy at all. Ok, worth it for the food!
My favourite place, but Thai food only, not Western, is the last restaurant ON Kata-beach at the south. Tremendous view, terrific food, and very cheap.
It is next to a kind of reggae bar, but it is not its name!

If you mean on the beach to the north, last year, these places were gone.
There are also open air restaurants, south, just before the climb to Kata. Ate at one place there and nothing special.

I like the J.T. house they have a great Club house sandwich.
To hang out I like Karon Center. Lots of nice beer bars you can order sandwiches that can be delivered to your beer bar.
