Buffets

I have a sad addiction to Hotel buffets which stems from my distant childhood. Just read an article on Bgks finest in an old Sitckman article, and its aroused my curiosity- does Phuket have any buffets worth a visit? heard that the one at the Holiday inn is good, anybody been there?

Never been to the one at the holiday inn. Sunday brunch at Twin Palms is best brunch on the island. Can't go wrong going there.

The Holiday Inn used to very good, but during recent years it seems to have gone downhill. I used to make a point of going at least once during a 2 - 3 week stay, but for the last three years I have given it a miss. Maybe after the recent extension and refurbing after the tsunami the standard has been raised.

Regards

John

Wow, with the way Thais usually handles and preserves food, then I would almost rather prefer to eat at a street vendor, than from a buffet anywhere in LOS! Just imagine all that food and how long it stays out in warm air.... Just enough to spoil the rest of your vacation, unless you have a real strong stomach or some very good rx medicine from you doctor!

Rgds,
SMF

Best lunch buffet I’ve had is in Burasari Resort (same road as the Holliday Inn). 100 baht, all you can eat. They have Thai, Italian and European days. Usually 3 hot dishes (all excellent) and some decent desserts. Very pleasant setting too.

The japanese place is Oishi (my spelling might be off on this one but should be pretty close)

For the Burasari, certain aspects need improvment and that buffet isn't going to be around for much longer as the hotel is expanding. The current restaurant will be changed to Floyd's, if the deal is still a go.

Sorry guys, i know this is a bit of the subject, but i thought i would share some information from a recent trip to macau.

Whilst there i read about a buffet in the Sands Casino Complex by the name of Vegas888 which is reportedly meant to have a buffet nearly 100m long with nearly every concievable food item from most contries on it, never went there though.

Sort of spun me out.......... 100m that a bit of a hike!!!
