Depends on where you are going, but have a talk with your doctor. He should know. You could need something to protect you from bad stomach...

Howdy!

Cool homepage you have there although you missed an "w" If you travel to the Phuket area you need pretty much a shot for Hepatit A and something for tourist diarrhoea otherwise you should be fine. If you travel to someother parts of Thailand you may need something for malaria. Nevertheless the best thing you can do is consult your doc as the previous poster recommended.

Cheers!

Hi Faye

Welcome

Yes you will contact your doctors and they will give you the full details, it also depends on where in Thailand you go .

You should always get Hep A and typhoid even if you are staying in a resort like Patong. Just because its a resort, does not mean they are not there! Besides, on a drunken night, who knows were (and who) you will end up!

Hi Faye,

If you are not going to Northern Thailand up in the jungle you do not need Malaria medicine.

I am part way through the Hep A/B combined shot course.

1st one I got last Saturday (4 weeks before I leave), 2nd this Saturday then one in 3 weeks after that (day before I go). There is an option of a 4th shot 12 months later which will fully immunise you.

Downside is each shot is AU$65 but compare that to how much I would lose if I got sick it's not too bad

So at what point would you take the penicillin?? Routinely after you've been with a BG or when symptoms start which would no doubt be after you have got home and would need a proper diagnosis, penicillin doesn't cure every STD.
It also has no effect on travellers sh1ts.

Just playing like this isnt that safe, we are messing with Woman who have a greater chance of having something cause they general have more men.
I thought about it and a Doctor told me it wouldnt hurt and its gonna help, How.....Colds/infections/food bourne illness I can go on and on.Now that Im thinking about it why are we talking about it Does it make sense ?
Ask yourself (Im not trying to be an A$$hole either)
