STD Tests in Phuket
Hi!
I have a question, I want to know if this really is true. I have a friend that has his girlfriend down in Phuket and she claims she went to the big hospital there and tested herself for STD, and say that she got answer in 1 hour for Syphilis and Clamydia and 1 week for HIV. So I wonder if this can be true? Can they really test someone in Phuket and have the answer for you in about 1 hour time??? In such case, do they have som brand new tecnique there that we don't have hear in Sweden for an example where I live, here it takes about 1 week for all STD and 2 weeks for HIV. My friend doesn't know if she lies to him, so I'm hoping that some of you guys that lives in Phuket or go there often can help me out. cheers

Unfortunatly I found out the hard way  I am sure you can get results for Hiv and Syphilis though, As they are taking through a blood test and I would say you can get them back pretty quickly, But the Chlamydia one is a no for sure...

I get one done everytime Im there.....Does that make me a bad person?
 Usually it takes one day from blood drawn to results. They test for 4 things, I believe. HIV Syphillis Hepatitis; one or the other or both, cant remember... I use Dr.Wattani Clinic on Soi Dr.Wattani from Beach Road. 900 Bath.

One thing I forgot to mention Viperman... I never thought of this at the time but Girls may be different? As the doctor looks inside them and can check easily for signs of Infection/Bacteria etc.. So they may not need to take the test.. Obviously the swab is the only 100% way of knowing though, So she might be telling the truth, If the doctor didnt see anything he probably didnt bother taking the swab...

555555555 I agree some urin based test may give immediate results as well but only if the test involves a reaction with something else such as energy or an indicator unless the sample preparation is time costy that is. Hehehe in my case when the good doc performed the painful swab thingie she actually looked at the sample under a microscope and she told me right away I was clear from Gonorrhea thou she ordered a full urin analysis which I had to wait for a week for the results  Boy I felt good when I was clear from everything...
