Talking Nagging Advertisement

I have nagging yellow box with this message on my screne "Phuket Forum - Diving, Golf, Attractrations, Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping http://www.phuket-infor com/forums/general/"
I find this very distracting and often the way of my reading post. How can I get rid of this nag?

Also, I tried to use an animated avator and no go? I says it will not except that type of avator but I see them all the time here.

IJ slow down with your search as I did and could not find what I wanted. Thanks for any help coming my way.

Can you post a screenshot of that ad? Never seen one that interferes with viewing the post!

As for animated avatars, you should be able to upload it if it is under 120x120pixels or 19.5KB or less, whichever is the smaller.
I have never been able to resize an animated one with any success, it will just come out as a small pic.

Animated gifs can be tiny, you can get them small enough to be avatars
Attached Images
File Type: gif athletics.gif (26.8 KB, 15 views)
File Type: gif BalloonGez.gif (16.1 KB, 11 views)
File Type: gif Black_cat_runs.gif (4.8 KB, 73 views)

If you resize an animated gif using a standard graphics package it will only work on and save the key (first) frame yeilding a normal gif.

I use Jasc's Animation Shop, but there are many freebies, just Google for "animated gif editor" and there are many.

90x100x8bpp, assuming RGB would give a file of over 27kB

Cheers Tyfon. I think I have a copy of Jasc's Animation shop on CD here somewhere. I'll give it a go when I have a spare minute.
I have a rather nice collection of animations on my HD
