ivory coast money scam
I have just received an e mail from Mrs Thera Duke who claims to work for a bank where there is US$14.6million waiting to be claimed (apparently money belongs to someone who was killed in an air crash).
Obviously a variation on the west african bank scam where you supposedly get 30% of the dosh. The reason I am posting this is that I believe they got my email address from someone (peter?) at phuket nightlife.com. I have not resonded to this email and have advised the abuse team at my ISP. I urge anyone else who gets a similar email to ignore it; its only a scam... Mind you I am a little disappointed, some of these scams claim there is 30 million dollars waiting to be claimed, why am I only worth 14.6m?

I have got many similar scams, one scam was a UK based with a website of the lawer and they needed someone outside UK to claim money from someone who died in a car crash. They would do the paperwork and you would get a good comission for helping this out.
It's unbeliavable that people still get cheated by the old Nigeria letters, read an article in swedish newspaper that every year a lot of Swedes are cheated by them.

I'm not that gullible
Well I hope that the swedes are not more gullible than the rest of the world. (me being a swede)
I saw a story on the tv a couple of months ago about an american who was looking for a business partner to start up a fish farm. He got a reply from someone in afrika and they corresponded and it let to that the african so called business man wanted to meet him. He even paid the tickets for him. When he got there he was more or less kidnapped and hold for 40000 $ ransom. Well wife took some action and it got a happy ending. If it was me and someone scammed me like that they wouldnt live to spend the money. lessons to be learned.... IF you ever encounter something that are too good to be true -----> Its a scam or you are being stiffed.

Money Scam
I am getting at least 4 of these scam emails a day and apart from blocking them and deleting I dont know what to do about them.They all seem to originate from Lagos Nigeria and know both my name and email.If all were true and I got the money I'd have more than Bill Gates!
