Digi Cam ?

Hi Boys,
Any of you that can give me some info on cameras.
This digital ones where u can post pictures to the fora etc.
As I can see there are 2 things they talk about.
1) Pixels, 2, 3, 4 or 5 megapixels.
I don't care 4 perfect pictures, but still good enough ones?
Soo can I go with 2 or do I need more?
2) Memory , I see they talk about 8MEG up to....
What is that? how many pictures you can take/store or....?
Well, help me out if you can.
PS/ What is the cam price in Phuket?
I can get a 2Megpix here in Sweden for about 1000 SEK (about 130 US$)

1) try to get as much megapixels as possible, more megapixels means better quality. If you buy a cheap compact digi-camera its possible to have a weak flash and its difficult to take good photos in the night

2) The memory card: 8 meg is definitiv to less. you need more. if you have only 8 megs you can only make about maximum 20 photos and for my opinion is this to less.

If you only want to take pictures for a web, an inexpensive digital camera will probably work just fine. I'd look for a camera in the US$250 range. Memory is pretty cheap now, also. Buy at least a couple 128 meg memory cards, or larger. I've bought several digital cameras so far, but I always end up giving them away. My last one was a Nikon Coolpix 2500. It worked great, and it was only 2 megapixels.
