bringing snus into thailand
hello!
we're planning a trip to thailand in feb. and since we take snus on a more or less regular basis, my boyfriend and i were kinda wondering if there would be any problems or difficulties at the thai border when having snus in our luggage. has anybody of you made any experience with bringing snus into thailand? thanks for your help! bye

Hi,
I don't think that you will encounter problems if you don't import more than the allwed quantity of tobacco. By the way, as I lost contact with my supplier... has someone already ordered snus online at the following address: http://www.snusworldwide.com ? LOL when they are still in the ordering process. I already got my shipment. It take about a week but I always have it within 10 days from the date I order my shipment. Ps!! Customs here have sofar never opened any of my packages.

No problem to bring it into Thailand. But I heard it's not allowed in Australia.
I have to pay tax for the snus I order from Sweden at Thai post office.

I have same labels but I have to pay tax anyway, the funny thing is that sometimes 800 baht and sometimes 1400 baht, but usually around 1300 baht.

Hi All Snuser´s  I Agree with Mr. Pancake , http://www.snusworldwide.com/ is a total scam site .. even if they have to make a living i gue´s 2 .. worse price i ever seen ! I get my 10 cans of General-Snus for about 180SEK here in Sweden and even that´s NOT cheep anymore , damned swedish taxes. Suddenly,
I have been buying SNUS for about 1.5 years without any problems. Now I have a big box at customs in Phuket Town and they told me I need a license to bring it into Thailand. When talking with "License" department today they told me there is not possible at all to get a license for snus. So... I cant import snus anymore to Phuket and I lost about 5000 baht which I paid for this package. I dont know how about other parts of Thailand. As a tourist you are allowed to bring in 2 rolls of SNUS.
