I'm reasonably slim too, but I reckon I'd be one of the biggest eaters on this board. The fuel goes straight to my nutsack.

Does Faulty do Indian curries too?

A good korma + beers = heaven

No - no India curry at Faulty's yet ... but if you ask Mr Yut (the chef) for 'gangearie gai' (K2 curry) - then its pretty close to a Korma - excellent (not on the menu) - orange curry with potatoe.

For authentic Indian curry in Patong then Navrang Mahal is the best curry I've ever had in Thailand - its in Soi Patong Resort the small soi opposite Soi Lion.

I Kamala then recommend Ban Rim Klong - Hasher Singha makes excellent curry - try the the butter chicken tikka.

I have been a regular at the Navarang Mahal for years, but on my last couple of visits I have found the quality to be variable at best, one night the food was very poor. Maybe they have more than one cook? I hope they do get back to a consisten level of good quality curry (vinadloo being my favourite). Any other suggestions for a good Indian on Phuket?

Regards

John

I have a question.... I probably missed the answer but could someone tell me anyway... As some people might not be aware i am not the keen on Asian food....I dont know why but not really into spicey foods. I have heard a lot about this place but i am not sure exactly where it is so could someone enlighten me please.

I always go to the Indian restaraunt on the same soi as Karlsson's, but I cant remember what it is called. (Could be the same one as mentioned!)

I can reccomend the Tandori chicken. The other currys tend to vary, but the tandor oven seems to produce a good quality tandori chicken every-time. Whenever im there, everyone seems to be eating it!

I know where you mean, it is not the Navarang Mahal and I am sure I tried it years ago and was not impressed with the curry. Maybe I should try again in January.

Thanks for the tip K2 - was going to start up a thread asking about Indian curries. I will look this up on my map.

Apologies for hijacking thread - back to Faulty burgers.....

PS: Hotter and spicier the better. TEAR ME A NEW ASSHOLE!

Funnily enough his chef and Crusty weren't having any of it but still made me some brilliant nose bag while I was over there last. I think I ate more at FT than anywhere else. Good fish IMHO.

I think you can poach an egg but not a chef. Chefs have to be scrambled or fried. (At least most of the chefs I've ever known were usually fried while working.)

Indian restaurant

It wouldn't be the cheapest place around but I have eaten at The Tandoor on a couple of occasions. Excellent food, good service and fine airconditioning.

It's at the Thara Patong Resort on the beach road end. Only my opinion but i would recommend it.

Ah, but does the Tandoor have such brillant, eloquent and captivating company such as Scud and No Hope? That's got to be worth... wait a minute... I must be drunk... what was I thinking. Please forgive me.
